Hlasovanie o riešení kritického nedostatku liekov

Parlament v utorok prijal návrhy na zlepšenie dostupnosti a dodávok základných liekov v EÚ. Má za cieľ zabezpečiť vysokú úroveň ochrany verejného zdravia pre občanov EÚ znížením závislosti EÚ od iných krajín a zvýšením konkurencieschopnosti jej farmaceutického sektora.

Poslanci Európskeho parlamentu podporujú vytváranie priemyselných „strategických projektov“ v EÚ s cieľom vytvoriť, modernizovať a zlepšiť výrobné kapacity. Chcú, aby národné vlády a EÚ uprednostnili finančnú podporu strategických projektov v súčasnom rozpočte a v nasledujúcom viacročnom finančnom rámci EÚ. Spoločnosti, ktoré využívajú verejnú finančnú podporu, musia spĺňať jasné povinnosti vrátane uprednostňovania dodávok na trh EÚ.

Podľa ich návrhov by verejní obstarávatelia v EÚ museli uplatňovať požiadavky na obstarávanie, ktoré uprednostňujú výrobcov vyrábajúcich významnú časť týchto kritických liekov v EÚ. Správa tiež zdôrazňuje výhody dobrovoľného cezhraničného obstarávania s cieľom zlepšiť dodávky, najmä liekov na zriedkavé choroby, antimikrobiálnych látok a iných inovatívnych, nákladných alebo špecializovaných liečebných postupov. Poslanci Európskeho parlamentu chcú znížiť počet krajín, ktoré sa môžu zapojiť do spoločných postupov obstarávania, na najmenej päť

S cieľom lepšie predvídať a riadiť nedostatky poslanci Európskeho parlamentu vyzývajú na vytvorenie koordinačného mechanizmu EÚ pre národné zásoby a pohotovostné zásoby kritických liekov. Chcú tiež, aby Komisia mala právomoc rozhodnúť o prerozdelení liekov z jednej národnej zásoby do jednej alebo viacerých iných krajín ako o poslednej možnosti v prípadoch, keď sa zistí nedostatok alebo prerušenie dodávok.

I've been using the new Microsoft Outlook for a while, and although it was usable and had some nice features, it was never quite as accessible as I was hearing it was from other blind users. I went back and reviewed chapter 4 of David Kingsbury's book, Windows Screenreader Primer from the Carroll Center for the Blind, and changing the following setting made all of the difference! 😎

In the view group, I went into the Reading pane menu and checked the Popout only item.

@stepan Jestli to chápu dobře, generuje se to furt automaticky z českých instancí podle počtu a aktivity uživatelů, co mají otevřené follow requesty a seznamy sledujících. Poslední refresh tam byl dneska. Nevím, kdo to teď má pod palcem, ale asi se to dá někde najít, viděla jsem snad i zdrojový repozitář někde.

He conseguido probar, con algo de dificultad, que la suma, resta y producto de reales definidos como clases de equivalencia no dependen de representantes específicos, y que cumplen las leyes del anillo (más o menos). Algún lema sobre positividad. ahora me falta la tricotomía. No sé si habré elegido bien usando secuencias en lugar de cortes de Dedekind. Pero es que las pruebas de supremos e ínfimos me tocan las narices bastante; es un coñazo tener que hacer análisis de casos con eso.

I couldn't believe that PC Gamer headline was a proper reflection of what was said, but... it was.
The thing which most annoys me is that they seem to believe they have a right to do a damaging thing (which they acknowledge is damaging) in the hope that they might find something impactful to do with it (which they acknowledge they haven't, yet) because there's currently a lot of hype about it, and the only time limit on this is "find something before the hype runs out".
Right now, the zeitgeist is a little bit about the admiration for AI in its abstract form or as as technology. But I think we as even a global community have to get to a point where we are using this to do something useful. That changes the outcomes of people and communities and countries and industries. Otherwise I don't think this makes much sense. In fact I would say we will quickly lose even the social permission to actually take something like energy, which is a scarce resource, and use it to generate these tokens, if these tokens are not improving health outcomes, education outcomes, public sector efficiency, private sector competitiveness across all sectors, small and large, right? Launching their new social network, W, a group in the EU posted a map of where other social networks are hosted. It showed nothing in Europe.

But their map is wrong.

If "AI" worked they'd be using it, not selling it.

I.E. if it did what they claimed it would be proprietary secret sauce, not "come use this for free so we can figure out what it might be good for". Still, in 2026.

Remember when blockchain was going to have a zillion world-changing uses, real soon now? Same guys, they pivoted.

The "brilliant" minds behind the new social network wsocial.eu forgot to grab related domain names, so I applaud the efforts of the creator of w-social.eu... encouraging people to be social and simply join the fediverse.

Fun fact: yesterday I almost registered wsocial.lol (1 Euro for the first year) and wsocial.wtf.

I guess if I see an article in mainstream media about wsocial.eu I may do it (if the domains are still available).

Journos, you should cover the fediverse!

I was this close to registering a domain name & creating a splash page to expose why wsocial.eu is such a terrible idea.

Why did I stop?

I have a big hunch that their initiative is going to FLOP. Big time.

A fork of Bluesky that requires government ID to post? Bahahahahaha.

Sure you can have rich and powerful friends helping you launch at Davos but getting people excited about a new social network isn't easy.

I will use my limited time in propping up the fediverse instead ✊
