Hey friends, open source / screen reader accessibility enthusiasts. Do you know an #XMPP web based client / blogging / social / video / audio conferencing / community / social platform called @Movim ?

Featurewise it's very feature rich web based app written in PHP, HTML, javascript, leveraging both server side and client side web development specific technologies however its screen reader accessibility could benefit from thoughtfull improvements. A few months ago even the main author blogged about screen reader accessibility features for visually impaired and his desire to improve the platform in this regard. I would like that to happen as well and I'd also like to find more people who might like this too and also who might potentially be able to comment on my attempt at user facing screen reader accessibility review or even help with suggesting more improvements or fixing some of the screen reader accessibility issues. I would like any kind of community contribution and discussion that would contribute to screen reader accessibility improvements to happen.

I've really considered writing such a post as once screen reader accessible it might greatly improve independence, device compatibility, privacy and even more. There are features from traditional messenger style apps, blogging features, social network like features, audio / video voice messages, audio / video calls. Imagine having facebook / discord / blog / whatsapp / insert your similar service here consolidated into a nice privacy oriented self-hostable, independent, federated solution. The work required to make it accessible is substantial, but the work that has already been done and is being done now is enormous, so I am still thinking about this as being approachable.
