Wow, so the other day I shared what #Microsoft does when you search to download #Firefox from #Edge* but they go one step further for #Chrome.

(I have zero love for either surveillance capitalist but, my goodness, what absolute asshattery. Having spent more time than I’d like testing in #Windows these past two days, I constantly feel like some malevolent entity is trying to exploit me at every turn. Because one is. This OS is a case study in hostile #design.)

WTF is "the added TRUST of Microsoft"? Is this comedy – or what kind of "trust" do they mean?

I mean, the word can be ambiguous, right? A trust can be used to manage assets. MS certainly considers us and our data such. So if that's what they mean, they are shockingly honest here. With the exception that they never tell you what they have stored there…

Wait, "trust" can also mean "cartel". And that'd be right on spot, wouldn't it? 🤔

@IzzyOnDroid
TBH I do trust them more than Google and Facebook, probably because they are still struggling in the whole data-mining market.
Still not going to use anything based on Chromium though 😄
