a few reasons: a ready-made solution for adding my own domain, good price, data hosted in the EU, and obviously superior privacy 🔒 And now as the service gets better and better I'll have even more reasons to recommend Tuta to family and friends 👍🏻
@Tutanota been on-board for some time - and liked the idear that a bunch of neo-hippies 😀 in Hannover - of all places - wanted to create something outside the ad-capitalism. Keep up the good work and stay focused 😀

So ... Tuta, who wants the world to communicate with full privacy, gives you a chance of winning a Revolutionary plan account for 1 year ... by joining conversations on two non-privacy friendly sites, where one is now highly riddled with lots of other ethical and moral problematic issues.
Oh the irony .... "We hope to see you there!" .... yeah, right ....
What about actually taking a proper stance on privacy and reflecting over all the issues over in the Musk-land?
What about setting the standard so twitter/bluesky boosts need to lead people to the fediverse before they are qualified for this account lottery.
Right now, this whole lottery is a complete farse.
i joined because i needed privacy for my email.you guys were the easiest choice because of price.but you guys updated the price 😞 .but i still like it.because i need one thing and one thing only.EMAILS..
Long: In Contrast to other privacy focused Email providers, Tuta does the right things out of their own principles while being transparent about pricing and reasoning of price increase.
Having seen Tuta advertising job offers at LUH in Hanover, giving young people a chance...that's when I wanted to support Tuta with a paid subscription. Unfortunately 3€/month is 2 days of food as a student. I'd maybe reconsider after a 1 year trial or a student price
Once I encountered a video about cyber security after that I have been still researching the ways that protect my security best and Tuta is one of them I have ever found!
I use my Tuta email for a specific hobby and things related to it. Do you know what I do not get when I use my browser? Continual random, targeted, or spam ads about the hobby! How can you not ❤️ that, folks? Improves the browsing experience even when you have adblockers running. Thank you!
I use tutamail because I trust that it’s a project run by a small group of committed people, trying to make something functional & decent, rather than a giant faceless company. I find the desktop program and the apps look nice, and work really well.
l just want my conversations to be private between me and whoever I’m communicating with. I don’t want to think twice about writing anything just in case what I write could be misinterpreted or used against me by someone eavesdropping my conversation.
because privacy is important to me and you are one of the few providers worldwide to implement this in your service. I'd rather pay with money than with data for a service.
Thanks for providing a great encrypted e-mail service! I was lost for a while after lavabit was shut down, and your service is the best replacement I've found. I appreciate how open you are about your policies and practices... Tuta is a service I feel I can trust.
Tutanota's standout features include robust end-to-end encryption, open-source transparency, zero-knowledge authentication, cross-platform compatibility, integrated calendar and contacts, two-factor authentication, advanced spam/phishing protection, and flexible pricing plans, making it a top choice for privacy-conscious users and businesses.

I chose Tutanota quite by chance. I was looking for a paid email service that was secure to use. Tutanota was the best I could find and here we are. Another year with Tutanota! Rgds from Finland ❤️
Reasons for using Tutanota (random order): competetive price, easy way to use own domains, no limit on email adresses for own domain, EU based, secure emails possible, even if recipient doesnt have an Tuta account ( very cool ), steady improvements to service / software :)
i choce tuta, becauce i want the best privacy for my friends and for myself. No one should know what i order or what informations i share with my friends.
I've been using tuts for some years now. my priorities were: using my own domain, EU jurisdiction (which ensures more privacy), reasonable pricing (at the old 1 euro/month tier). It's been pretty much "set and forget" since I first set up my account. There are some features missing imo, but the software gets constant updates and it seems that community feedback is generally listened to.
1/ Seemed better than the others, I trust Tuta more. 2/ Opensource 3/ App on available on F-Ddroid 4/ Price of "upgraded" plan is affordable (I already pay for the Revolutionary plan)
If I win, I'll offer the one year plan to my beloved @Divine_lu since I already have a Revolutionary plan.
I chose Tuta, because Tuta is the closest encrypted mailbox service to the user, there are a lot of details that will make people feel comfortable when using it, Tuta pays a lot of attention to privacy (for Usage Data Tuta also asks me if I agree with it), and of course, Tuta's price is very cost-effective compared to other platforms.
I chose tutamail for my freelance work address because tutanota respects privacy, it's encrypted and has plans with honest price and also because the team seems friendly and knowledgeable !
I opened an e-mail account at tutanota.com because I don't believe they offer phone support. I believe phone support can be used to compromise an accounts security. Another user calling tech support can become familiar to a tech support person. It begins by asking for small, silly little favors. But then I'm paranoid and possibly schizophrenic. And that's okay because it's not how crazy you are that matters, but how much fun you're having with it. :)
I chose Tuta because: 1. Surveillance, commercial and governmental is increasing 2. No one knows what my/your data can be used for - now or in the future
And very important: 3. I chose Tuta because they fight for my privacy and others privacy - in ways I could do myself. We need companies like Tuta.
I used Tuta (former Tutanota) for years, but it got better and easier in the last year. The app is so clear. And you can sync easily and everywhere. #privacy
Tutanota is a great email+ service and works great and all at a tremendous price. I’ve been using it for a few years now and I’ve never had a problem. Thank you for protecting my online privacy in an intrusive world and keep up the excellent work!
I joined because you have the most complete email/calendar encryption technology, cost friendly plans for using an own domain, and the service is powered by green energy.
I use Tutanota because it's not just email; it's my encrypted sanctuary in the digital realm. With every message shielded by top-notch security, I navigate the online world knowing my privacy is in good hands. It's not just an inbox; it's my fortress against prying eyes.
I don't trust any of the big companies to care about their customers (or products, as they see us). Tuta both offers us security and shows they don't mind us not trusting them (by releasing their code as open source)
After people stole my life they constantly contact emailproviders and social media accounts and communication accounts with falsely and through corruption issued papers that they would have rights to access my I tested all emailproviders that exist ,inclusive the few other ones who pretend they give privacy without phone number but then demand another emailadress which then again asks phone numbers that is practically a trap. All of them gave out my access inclusive the big android companies.
Weiter so!
I chose Tutanota as it covers my needs for email, calendar and contacts. I was looking for alternative to google services and decided Tutanota was better than Proton and other privacy oriented packages, free and resistant to national/international "legal" investigations. I wish Tuta introduced notes and "to do" lists
I chose @Tutanota because of their focus on privacy and the strong data protection laws of Germany and the European Union. I believe #privacy should be a human right that is codified in law. Thanks! #Contest #GoodLuck
Happy to have chosen to migrate from Gmail, used for close to 20 years, over to Tuta. Privacy was my main driver for this change and I'm happy to report that my spam and unwanted emails/marketing junk have been severely reduced.
Additionally, I like that the Tuta dev team really listens to the user feedback and implements changes quickly.
I've been using Tutanota for its strong privacy focus. As a German-based company with servers in Germany, they are bound by strict EU GDPR laws, ensuring excellent data protection. The encryption covers not just emails but also calendars and contacts, and their open-source approach enhances trust. Tutanota consistently impresses me with its commitment to user privacy.
The e-mail technology may not be the super solid ultra secret communication system. However, I think picking Tuta over some other services let's me retain some of my agency, as opposed to becoming a tasty bag of human data to be sold... The issues of privacy should be vocalised as much as possible. It's not a bloody conspiracy theory anymore.
Tutanota is one of the most tustworthy email providers I've found with my favorite features. I started for free and upgraded years ago because it does what it should and does it well.
Not just the essential email service with superior privacy & user-oriented features (interface alone is a reason to use it); Tuta is a noteworthy example of successful opposition of corporation thugs (& their goal of dictating). Tuta staff worked hard for their reputation and service, and earned the respect of users like myself. My online communication would be far more dismal without Tutanota, & their team has my eternal thanks. 1/
I first chose to get a tutanota account based on some online research I did on email security and I've been happy with it ever since. Very easy to use for people like me who aren't the most tech savvy while still protecting your privacy.
several reasons for me 1- you were in the campaign "degooglize internet" on the french website Framasoft (so it was easier for me to put my trust in you) 2- you are cheaper than ProtonMail 3- ProtonMail have enough susbscribers and it's good for security to have several different technologies
I've chosen Tuta because of its vision (tuta.com/it/why-tutanota). I've found it so inspiring in now days. I love the features too, ofc, but without a shared vision, the features are not so important, I have to say.
I chose Tuta because of its security versus the other private email providers, because of its annonymous sign up and for the overall stance on privacy! Cheers!
I use Tutanota as the email for all my mental health communication needs. It's security and privacy allows me to express myself freely when communicating with professionals in that area :)
Online Privacy is a great concern in today's world. I wanted to improve my online privacy posture, de-google as much as I can, and found Tutanota to be one of the best choices available today for this purpose.
I chose you because I was sick of ad and user data driven free mail providers. I was looking for something to keep my data private and secure and Tuta offers exactly that! Being located in Germany and being therefore subject to same jurisdiction as I am is just a nice bonus. I also enjoyed the end of the journey of finding mail service with reliable encryption without the hassle of PGP
I've chosen Tuta for privacy budget solution for email, Multi-platform client app (Win/Linux/MacOs/Android/iOs) and future features in the roadmap like post-quantum encryption,
Personally, I was shocked when I gradually realized how much companies know about us, what can be done with this knowledge and that secret services use this knowledge for mass surveillance. This is the reason why I have chosen Tuta(nota). Thank you for you great work (and also for platform independence). ♥️
I chose Tuta for my privacy standard because privacy is a basic human right for all. I’m happy to be entered in the contest for my chance to win a free year, as money is very tight these days. But I am loving the free version even if I do not win the free year. Much love Team Tuta 💙
I chose Tuta after making the shift away from Gmail, because after all my research, Tuta stood out as being affordable with a real dedication to privacy, aesthetically pleasing, and fitting my needs as a personal email user and later as a sole proprieter, using aliases.
Ich benutze Tutanota, weil es ein sehr gutes Kosten-Nutzen Verhältnis hat und weil ich die Mail Endung sehr mag :D Natürlich ist der Sicherheitsaspekt aber am wichtigsten.
I chose Tuta (formerly Tutanota) for email because there mails are not scanned to tailor ads and users' emails there aren't (apparently) even readable by the company in any case by design. Also the automated encryption between Tuta users is nice. #privacy #yksityisyys
I was looking for a potential solution as replacement for my "family" G👁️🗨️👁️🗨️gle calendar, that offers roughly ...
- preferably EU hosted - company privacy orientated - cost free , timely unrestricted plan with fair amount of Storage (allow checking it fits) - calendar sharing in general available (paid OK, if not too expensive) online/offline - storage encryption and open source is appreciated - cloud storage can, but no must
I chose Tuta for privacy because it: - Encrypts my emails. - Protects me from surveillance and tracking - Offers a secure and convenient email experience. - Tuta is the best email service for privacy lovers 💯
for me it was a pragmatic choice - back when I was starting moving away from Gmail, Tutanota offered more storage in the free tier than the competition. what made me stay amd upgrade for the paid tier, was finding out that Germany's privacy laws are stronger than Switzerland's.
I think at the end of the day you won over proton in my book by having cheaper plans and an app on f-droid But more in general, a EU based service that looks out for our privacy is about all I want in my email!
I wanted an EU based e-mail. I wanted to get away from the big companies and so far im supper happy! Also got some of my friends to switch over and its awesome so far. Only wish there would be an option to read my mails from the notifications - but i guess thats in conflict with the whole privacy take...
Tuta is in the best situation to not only provide great security, but are situated globally to ensure that security continues.encryption. Open source. Free from trackers and ads. Never compromise with privacy and security. Able to use aliases. Eventually this is great alternative of gmail or outlook.
🙇; I wanted a secure 💌 service while planning my mini venture, and I found the right choice. I am hoping to continue using the services as I slowly build my food-venture with the same principles of security and 🔐! #privacy #dataprivacyday #tuta #മDeli
you get to know that a company truly offers and fights for privacy when it gets bullied and attacked by authorities so hard they get out of the shadows and still don't break it. That's what happened with tuta. I watched it closely and doubled on using it. I wish you more success and glory. Happy #dataprivacyday
Tuta Mail values privacy, with strong encryption and a commitment to keeping user data safe. It's a secure choice for protecting privacy. #Tutanota #DataPrivacyDay
you got me with your nice pricing policy compared to other providers with encrypted storage and i stuck for the added support for unlimited domain aliases.
Tuta is open-source, uses his own notification system, the app is light and easy to use unlike another competitor. Plus, the alias feature is a real asset. Try it and you'll love it
I think that the Tuta team puts considerable store by #privacy not only by researching but also by brainstorming between their crew. They believe in freedom along with listening and serving the demands of their users. I feel safe as well because they send regularly what's going on with this team, thereby making me be one of them.
Because privacy should be the standard in all business models. It should be regarded as a general human right. Thanks Tuta for your relentless effort in this battle!
it's never too late for caring about #privacy. Thanks Tutanota for opening my blurry G-based vision. Before, all dependent G's apps. Now, email, calendar and contacts safely running on Tutanota. Browsing with DuckDuckGo/Tor combo and using VPN 24x7. And my mobile G-account reset to 'do not track me' (you know the word). #privacy matters. Tutanota, the best...
Thank you for the wonderful email services. This privacy first, FOSS minded service which runs servers on green energy is my first stop in the journey outside the Google universe.
I chose Tuta because I'm in a travel of release my online and digital life from the shackles of privacy violating mega corporations. Tuta offers a transparency based relationship with paying customers, instead of luring users into a trap of giving up privacy in exchange for mediocre free services.
I would rather be a paying customer with rights than a sheep in someone's else property.
I chose Tuta Private Email over other providers due to its excellent privacy features and user-friendly interface. The end-to-end encryption gives me peace of mind, and the strict data protection measures ensure my information is secure. The platform's efficiency and responsive support make managing emails a breeze. Highly recommend!
I chose Tuta because it protects my privacy by being open source and operating under Free Software License. This let’s Tuta to be publicly audited, which should be the baseline for every email service. Moreover, I love how Tuta built its own Captcha!
Initially because it was 1. the only available privacy focused email app on f-droid, 2. it didn't / doesn't rely on google services and 3. it had probably the cheapest paid plan.
Still hope that one day I will be able to use it with thunderbird.
#dataprivacyday #privacy #contest using Tuta since 4 years, so glad about the possibility to take part in safe communication made in great lower saxony 🥳also as a poor student again😅😇go ahead with your good work! 🎉
I chose Tutanota because you care about privacy and I don't want strangers spying on my life. The fact that most people don't care is absolutely out of this world - thank you for your amazing work ❤️
i use tuta for a long Time and i respect them doing what is really needed in this Time with Data Theft and Privacy. Keep up the good work and much Love to the Team @Tutanota
hello! I chose to use tutanota because my youngest brother (he works in IT... Cyber security engineer...) recommended me to. So, he knows best, I trust him, I like it, and here I am. Cheers for Tutanota! 😊
I’ve been with Tuta for many years now. I first moved off a mainstream option to get #encrypted #email from a service provider who gave a dam. However, over time it has become way more than that. I feel part of the @Tutanota #community, a place where there is some heart and soul. Their #customersupport is second to none with actual considered answers (no mile long threads to get understanding- they get it straight away). And the design just keeps on giving! #gratitude for your service!
#privacy enshrined in universal declaration of human rights To: be secure and safe be able to trust express without fear have political and social freedom be free from manipulation of others limit powers from despotism control one’s life own your own data and not have it usurped Respect each other and keep correct boundaries change without fear prevent embarrassment in private matters and many other reasons why #privacy matters

I started thinking about switching email providers because the previous, big-tech one made me feel dirty... and I was getting dozens of junk emails every day. I came to Tuta for the privacy and the F-Droid and Linux-capable clients, stayed for the nice, noise-free experience, and paid for the aliases and to support their work. Thanks, Tuta.
Why, it's the best email provider that respects and protects your privacy, isn't it? Also, it's based in Europe, where citizens' privacy versus commercial exploitation matters more, apparently.
I'm currently using the free plan, I needed a new email provider and I was looking at a provider that respects my privacy and offers encryption. I found 2 providers, Proton and Tuta (called Tutanota back then). I decided to go with Tuta as I liked the idea more to support a smaller team if I decide to upgrade.
I use Tuta Mail because secure encrypted email should be the norm. Mass surveillance is unethical and irresponsible. Private and secure email is paramount to a free and just democracy ensuring freedom of speech from oppressive governments, nefarious organizations or foreign interference.
Tuta Mail helps decrease your digital footprint and helps ensure your data is safe. Thanks to the team @Tutanota for designing and maintaining this software.
Well why did I chose Tutanota.com (Now Tuta.com)? I was in search of a new emailprovider, because the email account I was using before, was from my school.
To me FOSS and Privacy are important Aspects. After some research I knew about proton and such... But Tutanota.com had such a cool name and design!! How could I have chosen otherwise?
Additionally the username of my choice was available!!! Without any need for Numbers, special symbols or stuff like that.
I chose Tuta cause Proton wasn't meeting my wants for VPN (no support for IWD on linux or IPv6) and their android email app didn't support google-free devices and wasn't on fdroid, so it just made sense to get out of their ecosystem and switch to mullvad vpn and tuta, which have been way better for me
Hi there! I’m about to set up a new email solution. One part of it is my subscriptions, all with unique randomized email addresses. Then two custom domains, one for me as a physical person and the other one for all my social media apps. Also with separate mail addresses. All mails will be rerouted into folders separatedby category. Would like Tuta to me my mail hub! Because you are so dedicated to privacy. Your dedication creates confidence for the future developments.
Title encryption is fantastic, and the Tuta app is much lighter than other e-mail apps. It would be great if Tuta could clean tracking links as Proton mail.
Simply because there is no trust in any American company anymore. If there was any it was due to lack of knowledge. And in the EU, you’re just so damn attractive.
Currently the best email service for my own projects. Best company that cares about user privacy, data and their own employees. Not overpriced like some other email services and actually supports schools and open source projects.
just needed an additional email address and tuta has a great pricing model and is super handy and also have a fat-client and an app - so yes, i choosed tuta :)
I have chosen @Tutanota because #privacy is important for me. With @Tutanota I can exchange emails, really easily, even with my grandmother who... has some difficulties with s/mime. My emails are safe in Europe, the service is punctual, intuitive and reliable: what more to ask for? Thanks Tuta! ❤️
amongst other #privacy encrypted emails Tuta appeared a promising one. There was the encryption, the open source factor; GNU license. For disadvantaged souls it was giving 1 GB free, then came the voluntary 1 euro per month affordable for someone who wanted to donate. Other services started at a few Euros per months not so affordable. The external box for correspondence to those without a tuta account was a good addition, although not as good as another service with timed deletion.
Free plan that can handle encrypted emailing, EU based with privacy focus (while still dealing with the real world), Tuta's service developments (encrypted calendar, post-quantum encryption development)
Privacy is a basic right, regardless of which part of the world we live in. Unless it is part of my work, I absolutely avoid using any service which does not respect Privacy. #dataprivacyday
I've been using tutanota for 3 years at this point, and when I started I was hardly aware of all the privacy concerns. All I knew was that gmail could read all my emails and i was not fine with that, so I looked around for a better service and found Tuta and it's philosophy and design just clicked.
I´m subject to mobbing: that means, that I even cant make use of a phone, to call for example a dentist, without talking to someone mobbing me and saying things like I don’t get treatment anymore at all and telling me being sorry because of the fact, that I wont ever receive treatment for my teeth anymore. I cant make use of a smartphone due to this circumstances. But neither the less, if I need correspondence by using email, I totally rely on tutanota.
the fact that tutanota is Made in Germany is my main reason. In all my years of following repositories, such as, git, projects by engineers in Germany have been the least to simply not work. The concept of privacy built on a culture of computer engineering that has a history of reliability, efficiency and trust, therefore creates a condition that tutanota will be a great service. further, i will add, transparency in commerce is an important value.
Ich finde Datensicherheit wichtig und finde, dass Tuta einen tollen Beitrag dazu leistet. Die Alternativen stechen definitiv nicht hervor Tuta gefällt mir sehr gut. Macht weiter so!
Tuta ticked all the boxes for me! I spent a long time researching and testing different solutions, but no one else out there could provide this quality, features and pricing of this product. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for this company
🔒 Protecting my privacy is non-negotiable. That's why I've made the switch to Tuta for my email and calendar needs. With end-to-end encryption, my messages stay confidential from prying eyes. Plus, it's well-priced, making privacy accessible to everyone. It's not just about convenience; it's about taking control of my digital footprint. #PrivacyMatters #Tuta #EncryptEverything 🛡️✉️
Me and my friend, not so long ago, decided that we have had enough to be part of the google echo system, and decided to branch out to other services.
For me, the main reason why I chose Tuta, was for its big reputation, as well as, in general, just awesome perks, like having 3 custom email domains for an extremely cheap price, I really couldn't say no!
A very good Privacy based Email service which provides Ad-free inbox with E2EE, Secure Calendar, Encrypted Search and many more features to help individuals regain their Privacy which makes me to stick with it for a long time.
I choose Tuta because is the only email provider that encrypts everything, is easy to use, and provides real privacy and anonymity to the user, thanks Tuta
Hi! I'm using Tutanota because it's opensource, well-developed and functional even with the base free plan. It's easy to use for the automated mail encryption without the need to know the gpg encryption. The android app is also available on the f-droid repository! I think privacy is one of our priorities nowadays and Tutanota gives us a great help! This is my first message on Mastodon; I got the advise and the opportunity of the privacy contest for a new sign-up. Thank you! :)
Real people respecting our rights online. Principles are so important today when many people are confused and lost in distraction. To feel secure and able to share openly is a huge boon for humankind in this unique era. Let's create a better way of relating, together! Peace and thank you all!
By using Tutanota I get less spam in my email and less annoying marketing. It's incredible how much declutter is here compared to Gmail. I feel the peace of mind when checking my Tuta mails.
Tuta is chosen because of EU based #privacy #bydesign - I have a paid entry and 2 free ones ... need to vary my handout of emails according to risk of spamming and not having all my eggs in a single basket 😎
@Tutanota, I chose Tuta - just few days ago - because I'm on my way to cybersecurity. Milestone for now is comprehensive protection: best antiviruses, changing passwords for super strong, Yubikeys and... mail. My next milestone is cybersecurity course from IBM (basic + intermediate level). In fact, my cybersecurity journey began with Tuta!
I chose Tuta primarily because of the privacy and no Big Tech tracking. The thing that swung me to you rather than another private provider was your desktop app and offline mode.
I use Tutanota because of having a very good experience with the free service and the step to a paid plan was very small, because of the small price for a premium service that goes all the way for privacy. I like the team spirit and the speaking out and saying what needs to be said alongside providing great software. Also the possibility to send from my own domain through the secure servers with the premium plan is awesome!
i pick it not only because of the privacy for obvious reasons but also because the interface is appealing. its not overloaded with features (as tuta's main competition managed to do in last years) and clean, quite welcoming to use. its a refreshing experience after years of using various web mail interfaces which were ridden with ads or had thousands of options
I chose you because I was looking for an encrypted email service. I like your approach and I prefer using an email with server in Europe. Moreover, your free plan offers enough space for me. Thank you and keep on the good job!
It has an excellent support team, a sleek interface (much better compared to other email providers), easy-to-follow-and-change settings, and most importantly, it's based on the EU soil - providing me with the best security and #privacy laws possible.
It's not important, but I also like the way Tuta did marketing. Also, portraying their team in black and white colors looks genuinely creative. Sounds weird to say it, but I am being serious here.
I chose Tuta because it’s the best tool at my disposal to effectively & safely report online existential threats to their own hosting providers without being taken out of context.
I chose Tutanota to protect my privacy because I found the usability, options, and interface superior to competitors, and came to love the work of this impressive team.
I chose Tuta to protect my #privacy because: with privacy being a basic human right, Tutanota is an important product that should be part of everyone's digital life.
I've chosen Tuta because you offer the best privacy options, even more than the popular ProtonMail (e.g. the mail object and metadata are encrypted too).
I trust you and I trust European alternatives to USA-based products.
Aw. Im confused, it says the email about this wasn't sent until Feb 3? At least in my inbox. Super weird, unless emaiils only show the date they are received?
I have chosen you because I enjoy the overall experience of your apps and first of all because I like the good work that you put in for the privacy community. I feel like I can trust you with my data and feel comfortable spending money on your service (and it's also pretty cheap). Big Love for U ❤️

Having seen Tuta advertising job offers at LUH in Hanover, giving young people a chance...that's when I wanted to support Tuta with a paid subscription. Unfortunately 3€/month is 2 days of food as a student. I'd maybe reconsider after a 1 year trial or a student price

in reply to Tuta • • •tutanota.com because I don't believe they offer phone support. :)

1. Surveillance, commercial and governmental is increasing
2. No one knows what my/your data can be used for - now or in the future
And very important:
3. I chose Tuta because they fight for my privacy and others privacy - in ways I could do myself. We need companies like Tuta.

Je suis ravi de savoir que mes informations restent confidentielles et ne sont pas partagées avec des tiers. Choisir Tutanota, c'est choisir la tranquillité d'esprit.

- preferably EU hosted
- company privacy orientated
- cost free , timely unrestricted plan with fair amount of Storage (allow checking it fits)
- calendar sharing in general available (paid OK, if not too expensive) online/offline
- storage encryption and open source is appreciated
- cloud storage can, but no must
Last step: convince family 😉

Además la app android está publicada en F-Droid con las garantías que conlleva y usa una tecnología alternativa a los mensajes push para notificaciones con tal de no pasar por los servicios de la gran G.

Over my time of using Tuta, I have not received a single advertisement like you do with Gmail for example.
I also have high respect for having a free plan truly standing behind the motto that privacy is for everyone & the norm.
Only sad part is, I do not have a Credit Card or Paypal so I cannot buy an upgraded plan either.
