You can also increase your chances of winning one free year of Revolutionary by joining the conversation either on Twitter twitter.com/TutaPrivacy/status… or over at Bluesky bsky.app/profile/tutaprivacy.b…

We hope to see you there! 🥳

in reply to Tuta

So ... Tuta, who wants the world to communicate with full privacy, gives you a chance of winning a Revolutionary plan account for 1 year ... by joining conversations on two non-privacy friendly sites, where one is now highly riddled with lots of other ethical and moral problematic issues.

Oh the irony .... "We hope to see you there!" .... yeah, right ....

What about actually taking a proper stance on privacy and reflecting over all the issues over in the Musk-land?

What about setting the standard so twitter/bluesky boosts need to lead people to the fediverse before they are qualified for this account lottery.

Right now, this whole lottery is a complete farse.

Short: Tuta is based

Long:
In Contrast to other privacy focused Email providers, Tuta does the right things out of their own principles while being transparent about pricing and reasoning of price increase.

Having seen Tuta advertising job offers at LUH in Hanover, giving young people a chance...that's when I wanted to support Tuta with a paid subscription. Unfortunately 3€/month is 2 days of food as a student. I'd maybe reconsider after a 1 year trial or a student price

in reply to Tuta

I've been using tuts for some years now. my priorities were: using my own domain, EU jurisdiction (which ensures more privacy), reasonable pricing (at the old 1 euro/month tier). It's been pretty much "set and forget" since I first set up my account. There are some features missing imo, but the software gets constant updates and it seems that community feedback is generally listened to.
in reply to Tuta

I opened an e-mail account at
tutanota.com because I don't believe they offer phone support. I believe phone support can be used to compromise an accounts security. Another user calling tech support can become familiar to a tech support person. It begins by asking for small, silly little favors. But then I'm paranoid and possibly schizophrenic. And that's okay because it's not how crazy you are that matters, but how much fun you're having with it. :)

After people stole my life they constantly contact emailproviders and social media accounts and communication accounts with falsely and through corruption issued papers that they would have rights to access my I tested all emailproviders that exist ,inclusive the few other ones who pretend they give privacy without phone number but then demand another emailadress which then again asks phone numbers that is practically a trap.
All of them gave out my access inclusive the big android companies.

Not just the essential email service with superior privacy & user-oriented features (interface alone is a reason to use it); Tuta is a noteworthy example of successful opposition of corporation thugs (& their goal of dictating). Tuta staff worked hard for their reputation and service, and earned the respect of users like myself.
My online communication would be far more dismal without Tutanota, & their team has my eternal thanks. 1/

I chose you because I was sick of ad and user data driven free mail providers. I was looking for something to keep my data private and secure and Tuta offers exactly that! Being located in Germany and being therefore subject to same jurisdiction as I am is just a nice bonus. I also enjoyed the end of the journey of finding mail service with reliable encryption without the hassle of PGP

I was looking for a potential solution as replacement for my "family" G👁️‍🗨️👁️‍🗨️gle calendar, that offers roughly ...

- preferably EU hosted
- company privacy orientated
- cost free , timely unrestricted plan with fair amount of Storage (allow checking it fits)
- calendar sharing in general available (paid OK, if not too expensive) online/offline
- storage encryption and open source is appreciated
- cloud storage can, but no must

Last step: convince family 😉

I chose Tuta because I'm in a travel of release my online and digital life from the shackles of privacy violating mega corporations. Tuta offers a transparency based relationship with paying customers, instead of luring users into a trap of giving up privacy in exchange for mediocre free services.

I would rather be a paying customer with rights than a sheep in someone's else property.

I’ve been with Tuta for many years now. I first moved off a mainstream option to get #encrypted #email from a service provider who gave a dam. However, over time it has become way more than that. I feel part of the @Tutanota #community, a place where there is some heart and soul. Their #customersupport is second to none with actual considered answers (no mile long threads to get understanding- they get it straight away). And the design just keeps on giving! #gratitude for your service!

I use Tuta Mail because secure encrypted email should be the norm. Mass surveillance is unethical and irresponsible. Private and secure email is paramount to a free and just democracy ensuring freedom of speech from oppressive governments, nefarious organizations or foreign interference.

Tuta Mail helps decrease your digital footprint and helps ensure your data is safe. Thanks to the team @Tutanota for designing and maintaining this software.

Well why did I chose Tutanota.com (Now Tuta.com)?
I was in search of a new emailprovider, because the email account I was using before, was from my school.

To me FOSS and Privacy are important Aspects. After some research I knew about proton and such...
But Tutanota.com had such a cool name and design!!
How could I have chosen otherwise?

Additionally the username of my choice was available!!! Without any need for Numbers, special symbols or stuff like that.

Hi there! I’m about to set up a new email solution. One part of it is my subscriptions, all with unique randomized email addresses. Then two custom domains, one for me as a physical person and the other one for all my social media apps. Also with separate mail addresses. All mails will be rerouted into folders separatedby category. Would like Tuta to me my mail hub! Because you are so dedicated to privacy. Your dedication creates confidence for the future developments.

Tutanota has been at the core of my privacy model. I am a proud user and have been a premium member for years.

Why do I hand over my money to Tuta? Because I want to support a company that stands behind privacy and security to thrive.

Knowing my important emails are safe from prying eyes and giving me confidence in knowing a bot isn't scanning them.

Regardless of the outcome of this contest, thank you to all at Tuta who help give me a sense of privacy I can trust.

amongst other #privacy encrypted emails Tuta appeared a promising one. There was the encryption, the open source factor; GNU license. For disadvantaged souls it was giving 1 GB free, then came the voluntary 1 euro per month affordable for someone who wanted to donate. Other services started at a few Euros per months not so affordable. The external box for correspondence to those without a tuta account was a good addition, although not as good as another service with timed deletion.

I´m subject to mobbing: that means, that I even cant make use of a phone, to call for example a dentist, without talking to someone mobbing me and saying things like I don’t get treatment anymore at all and telling me being sorry because of the fact, that I wont ever receive treatment for my teeth anymore. I cant make use of a smartphone due to this circumstances. But neither the less, if I need correspondence by using email, I totally rely on tutanota.
in reply to Tuta

the fact that tutanota is Made in Germany is my main reason. In all my years of following repositories, such as, git, projects by engineers in Germany have been the least to simply not work. The concept of privacy built on a culture of computer engineering that has a history of reliability, efficiency and trust, therefore creates a condition that tutanota will be a great service. further, i will add, transparency in commerce is an important value.

🔒 Protecting my privacy is non-negotiable. That's why I've made the switch to Tuta for my email and calendar needs. With end-to-end encryption, my messages stay confidential from prying eyes. Plus, it's well-priced, making privacy accessible to everyone. It's not just about convenience; it's about taking control of my digital footprint. #PrivacyMatters #Tuta #EncryptEverything 🛡️✉️

Happy data privacy day!

Me and my friend, not so long ago, decided that we have had enough to be part of the google echo system, and decided to branch out to other services.

For me, the main reason why I chose Tuta, was for its big reputation, as well as, in general, just awesome perks, like having 3 custom email domains for an extremely cheap price, I really couldn't say no!

in reply to Tuta

Hi! I'm using Tutanota because it's opensource, well-developed and functional even with the base free plan. It's easy to use for the automated mail encryption without the need to know the gpg encryption. The android app is also available on the f-droid repository! I think privacy is one of our priorities nowadays and Tutanota gives us a great help! This is my first message on Mastodon; I got the advise and the opportunity of the privacy contest for a new sign-up. Thank you! :)

Why I use @Tutanota ?

Tuta to me is the only reliable and trustworthy E-Mail service while also being easy to use & organise.

Over my time of using Tuta, I have not received a single advertisement like you do with Gmail for example.

I also have high respect for having a free plan truly standing behind the motto that privacy is for everyone & the norm.

Only sad part is, I do not have a Credit Card or Paypal so I cannot buy an upgraded plan either.

Either way keep up with all you do❤️

@Tuta

I use Tutanota because of having a very good experience with the free service and the step to a paid plan was very small, because of the small price for a premium service that goes all the way for privacy. I like the team spirit and the speaking out and saying what needs to be said alongside providing great software. Also the possibility to send from my own domain through the secure servers with the premium plan is awesome!

I love everything about Tuta!

It has an excellent support team, a sleek interface (much better compared to other email providers), easy-to-follow-and-change settings, and most importantly, it's based on the EU soil - providing me with the best security and #privacy laws possible.

It's not important, but I also like the way Tuta did marketing. Also, portraying their team in black and white colors looks genuinely creative. Sounds weird to say it, but I am being serious here.
