Hey Linux users! 🐧

Did you know that Tuta offers a dedicated encrypted desktop client for protecting your emails, contacts, and calendar? πŸ”

Best of all it's completely free!

What distro will you be installing it on?

Hello. Will you accept monero directly as a payment method in the future? Other crypto can be easily traced by big brother.
in reply to miniproton

@miniproton Hi there, you can fund your subscription with Monero by purchasing gift cards through our partner ProxyStore. (tuta.com/support/#cryptocurren…)

What's Tuta's opinion on implementing an unlimited Alias service on a shared domain?

Right now unlimited aliases are possible on an own domain reducing spam and making organizing easier.

However a shared domain would increase privacy as evil companies couldn't cross reference data using the unique domain.
Also if catch all is enabled, spammers could just send to xyz@domain.de and I would still receive spam.

Atm I'm 100 aliases deep into iCloud+ as it was the cheapest option (shame)

What happens to a free Tuta account if I don't log in for 1 or 2 years? Won't it get locked?
in reply to User

@qrupdhlcn Free accounts can also use all desktop and mobile clients indefinitely as long as the account is used regularly. By logging in once every 6 months the account will remain active.

I’m on fedora and the appimage works just fine. Although I would prefer if it was a flatpak and that I could install/update it in my software store
in reply to Tuta

I installed it two years ago on GNU Linux Mint πŸ˜‰
in reply to Tuta

I'm using Tuta inside the Rambox app, but so far I'm very satisfied with Tuta. My Linux is MX.
in reply to Tuta

on Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm). Works fine, but normally I don' use it.
Instead, I use the web client with firefox.
in reply to Tuta

Uninstalling as usual. It would be nice if some effort would be made on performance. All the Tuta apps are... sooooo.... sloooow... To the point where they even become glitchy to use.
in reply to Caveman

@caveman Thanks for your feedback. It works quite well on my end. Where are you based and do you use a stable connection? I'd like to pass the details on to our tech team!
