Wow, :xmpp: #xmpp client @dino released new version with full 📞 #call support. I tested both 🔈audio and 🎥video between #conversations and #dino. It worked perfectly. 👍 👍

Thanks, I didn't know there is a windows port. It is very relevant for me as the rest of my family is on Windows (using #gajim, testing web client #jsxc). I am definately going to test it. 👍

You were right, the #Windows fork works nicely. I hope patches will be merged back to #dino upstream.

For basic users the GTK file dialog can be a bit distracting as it is different from what they are used to. The rest GTK design should be ok for them by my opinion.

great news! I already loved #XMPP as done via @dino and its amazing #OMEMO support (though I mostly stayed with Gajim or #Profanity on the Linux desktop).

To now know that support for Audio/Video calls is implemented is nothing short of amazing! There's no limit to XMPP!

There is one limit i can recognize:
#xmpp still has no standard way for group video calls. I miss that a lot. There are only several proof of concept implementations without any further standardization like this:

I tried to make a research and there is no better #xmpp client for #windows apart from web clients.

Thanks for info, that seems promising.

Yes i did. It works on windows, but it's not very easy to use for a basic user. Even for OMEMO you have to enable and configure the plugin yourself. For video calls there is no plugin in standard installation package. (Maybe there is one to be installed separately, I didn't investigate it this far.
