I checked the @gajim issue tracker for PKIX over Secure HTTP (POSH) support and it looks like it was implemented already 5 years ago: https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim/-/issues/9083

But I can't find the setting in the current #Gajim version and didn't managed to connect to my #xmpp server so far which uses "PKIX over Secure HTTP" for ssl verification.

#followerpower, any ideas?

@daniel I use #conversations on Android and #gajim on Linux. Both work fine with #omemo :-)

#XMPP #CertWatch said that »[My] settings are correct and no MITM was detected.« That's great.

It then continued with some #PubSub stuff and finally said »If you do not have a pubsub-capable client you can subscribe for text notifications by opening a chat with certwatch.xmpp.net and sending the message “subscribe <my xmpp server>”«.

My question is now: How do I open a chat with a hostname and not a JID?

My clients are #Gajim resp. #Conversations / #BlabberIM.

Anyone?

I'm still on Gajim 1.3.3 and simply can't upgrade because of the lack of the history manager (separate window to view chatlogs). I'm hoping that it will come back someday and that the old version I'm using will work a bit longer.

Thanks, I didn't know there is a windows port. It is very relevant for me as the rest of my family is on Windows (using #gajim, testing web client #jsxc). I am definately going to test it. 👍
