LibreOffice reshared this.

Hoping to make the list with my first patch which I've just confirmed to be fully operational!

Was looking forward to a smoother all-#FOSS paper writing workflow with @zotero and @libreoffice, am now also looking forward to getting some cool stickers 😎

@mattit @zotero Oh cool! Can you link to the patch, so we can take a look? Thanks 😊

@zotero haha my translation made it sound like a new feature, it’s two lines & some refactoring to fix an ancient bug inherited from #openoffice - though imo being able to fix such annoyances (or pay a random non-employee dev to do so on your behalf) is a really cool property of #FOSS projects like #LibreOffice. Beats hopelessly bashing my head against the wall while trying to work around the bugs and limitations of a certain proprietary office suite…

@mattit @zotero It's still a great contribution! And yes, when you can claim your sticker pack at the end of the month (details to follow), remind us to send you two 😉

Thanks! (Can I claim a third pack by reporting a bug my patch introduced? :D)

I think Month of LibreOffice & the sticker packs are a great way to get more people involved long-term - after all the first patch/translation/bug report is often the most cumbersome one due to all the setup overhead.

I always try to lower the barriers I bump into along the way, eg. submitted this patch to #fedora to include all build debs ootb:

Official #flatpak build env when?
