@RaccoonForFriendica Finally we have a Weblate project for the translations of the app UI, changelogs and metadata. Hope this will help us all create a better user experience and correct some localization mistakes!

@lucasmz ∞ I only wanted to make the short and long descriptions translated (not even the changelogs) but I didn't find any way to do it except creating different components for each file which seems a bit of an overkill... Do you have any suggestion? I'll delete the "metadata" component in case and recreate it as needed.

@lucasmz ∞ Thanks for the suggestion... I managed to exclude changelogs and the title using key masks, moreover I set all source messages as read-only for both components (if there are errors in English, people will either submit pull requests or open an issue in the tracker).

@lucasmz ∞ Just out of curiosity: did you experience translations being "vandalised" by strangers who intentionally deleted or messed them up to harm the project?

I've now finished the translation. I was unsure about a few terms. It would be good if a few more German speakers could look over them.

Ich bin nun fertig mit der Übersetzung. Bei ein paar Begriffen war ich mir unsicher. Es wäre gut, wenn da noch ein paar deutschsprachige drüber schauen könnten.

@Thomas I'll release a beta soon so that you will be able to see your changes "in place". Don't worry, everything can be changed in the future if more reviews are needed. I am planning to add an "acknowledgements" section in the app to give credit to you and the other ones who helped out.

Știu și eu (un pic) 🇷🇴 dar, fiind că nu e limba mea nativă, am preferat să nu scriu tâmpenii 🤣 A trecut prea mult timp de când am fost acolo și am uitat o grămadă de lucruri.

Îmi cer scuze! Să spunem că am folosit Google Translate, după care am corectat erorile cele mai mari pe care le am văzut și am încercat să fiu puțin mai coerent (e.g. verbele toate la imperativ singular, ș.a.m.d.), dar îmi imaginez că rezultat era destul de scârbos.

Oricum da, ne am scris și pe Lemmy (nu mai țin minte unde dar am o amintire vagă).

Addendum: I've added a new language to the app component on Weblate and setup the app to support the new language in this pull request, so as soon as anything arrives we should be ready to go.
