in reply to daniel:// stenberg:// • • •The usual suspects, Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle etc. have a huge lobby sitting in Brussels to make sure that the companies will get a big piece of the cake.
Open Source sadly has no lobby. I wish there was.
Also the term 'sovereignty' is somewhat a buzzword and they don't in any way understand that this cannot be accomplished with any US tech company which provide cloud services.
This is what you get when you have people in power, esp. v.d.Leyen, who don't understand what's at stake.

There's nothing wrong in having a license that prohibit commercial use; it's a fair behavior; besides, a concept (absolute freedom) must never be above foss people and their generous efforts
