(Yes, we're not the fastest with implementing changes. That's because we work with a huge community while focussing on code quality. But as you can see from our efforts here, we do care for an appealing UI.
Also, our podcast search database is bigger: way more than the 2 million that Focus Podcast reports to have. But yes, our search is sub-optimal. Maybe that causes the wrong impression.)

in reply to AntennaPod • • •I purchased a new tablet two weeks ago and installed @AntennaPod for the first time. So far I'm really, really happy¹. Previously I used Rhythmbox on the desktop.
I'm still exploring² the UI and only found one thing missing: The podcast name in the queue list. Yes, there is the logo on the left, but I prefer text over images. On my screen is enough space. This might be a problem on other devices.
¹ Adjusting a podcast volume is so wonderful.
² I just discovered the chapter marks.
