Ich muss gestehen, ich mag die alte Optik! 🤓 😊 Sie ist klar und eindeutig - das ist beim heutigen "flat design" leider allzu oft nicht gegeben. Funktional ist es ja auch egal, da LO "themes" nutzen kann. Jeder kann sich also seine Lieblings-Optik installieren! 😊 Nur bitte LO-Team, macht nicht den gleichen Fehler wie andere Software-Hersteller und doktert ständig an der UI rum: Interfaces haben stabil zu sein und das gilt genauso für das Nutzer-'Interface'!!! 🧐

30 years apart is indeed a lot of time and change is truly visible. However, to me, the suite looks just like 15 years ago. Any major update coming up?
My dad and I used to use StarWriter for DOS in the 80s and early 90s. I remember learning about its formatting commands, like `.pa` at the beginning of a line starting a new page. Imagine my surprise when years later, I learned about roff :)
gotta love that 90s design though! I wish UI designs were still this classy with 3D buttons and clear hierarchy (not just LibreOffice but any desktop software)
I'll be honest. I did not like StarOffice at all back in the day. Back then I was doing Desktop Publishing with Ventura DTP and generating commercial Bitstream fonts overnight etc. But since 2010 I will use nothing but LibreOffice.

Lobenswert übrigens, wie einfach auch #barrierefreiePDF mit #Writer erstellt werden können. Vorausgesetzt, ihr nutzt konsequent Absatzformate etc, müssen die PDF nur noch minimal in Acrobat nachbearbeitet werden. Was dagegen zB bei Apple #Pages zum Teil rauskommt, ist verheerend.

I also love the modern UI. I find these Tabs easier and faster to navigate then toolbars and menus.
