All you #Mastodon sysadmins who upgraded to Mastodon 4.3.0: Have you noticed that after you dutifully upgraded the #Yarn dependency to version 4, a message like this scrolled by:

$ yarn install --immutable<br>➤ YN0065: Yarn will periodically gather anonymous telemetry: https://yarnpkg.com/advanced/telemetry<br>➤ YN0065: Run yarn config set --home enableTelemetry 0 to disable<br>

I for one almost missed this. You may want to do what I did (as user mastodon in /home/mastodon/live):
yarn config set --home enableTelemetry 0<br>

I'm sure the Yarn people think their telemetry is perfectly harmless, but I hope we all agree that telemetry should not be used in the fediverse.

Requesting help - trying to set up typescript-language-server (github.com/typescript-language…) and every time I run yarn it seems to run an extra script. I can't figure out where that's happening. Could someone more experienced take a look?

This is a wooden yarn box I made for my wife in 2017.
She knits & crochets a lot and the box keeps the balls of wool out of reach of the cats 😉
It's made from three different woods, Utile, Idigbo and Walnut.

A yarn box I made for my wife in 2017. A decorative wooden box with hinged lid. It has four compartments for balls of wool. In the front of there are scroll shaped apertures corresponding to each compartment, through which the wool is drawn. The box front is made from Idigbo and the compartment separators and ends are made from Utile. The box lid is made from seven strips of three different types of wood. the central strip which has a central raise to form a handle is made from Utile, Towards the front and towards the rear, are three strips of Idigbo, Walnut and Idigbo. The hinges for the lid are made from Walnut.
