Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any audio description added to any of the episodes or movies in the Babylon 5 franchise. This was disappointing, considering it was and still might be streaming on Max and they've been good at adding audio description to many of their assets. Even the new animated movie "the Road Home" had no AD. What I use to help me fill in the gaps with visual scenes is the Lurker's Guide to Babylon 5; just try to avoid spoilers. šŸ˜€

Hey, I know some of my followers are avid sound effect collectors. I'm looking for a better copy of the Babylon 5 door chime sound effect that I have attached to this toot. It's the only one I can find, but it's not good enough to use as a notification sound on my phone. Apparently, there are multipple door chime sounds. I think these two characters were some of the finest acting on the series. Babylon 5 is an amazing show and I recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately, for those of us who are blind, the show was never audio described. #Babylon5

My brother-in-law is Peter David, writer of stuff. (Seriously, that's what it says on his business card.) He's written #comics (he's best known for his 12-year run on The Incredible Hulk), movie and TV novelizations (some of his #StarTrek novels are very popular in Trek fandom), television episodes (such as #Babylon5) and movies, original novels...all kinds of, well, stuff.

I bring this up because he's been dealing with severe health issues for three years and counting and is starting to make progress in recovery just in time for Medicaid to yank his coverage. As you may know, in America, medical expenses without some kind of insurance coverage are prohibitive.

I just watched #Babylon5 The Road Home again and I am still thrilled that it exists. Whatever else 2023 was, it was also the year we got new Babylon 5 for the first time in over 15 years.
