Nowadays it may seem that computers (or computer software, to be more precise) are easier to use than years ago. I disagree.
In my opinion, it's much harder to just *use* anything today. That is, to make it perform the exact task we need from it, without interrupting us in our work and without doing anything undesirable. Today, programs tend to use us (and not in Soviet Russia but in Capitalist West). And instead of doing what we needed to do, we end up doing what software vendors expect us to do.
