Today we published the result of a recent, very productive, focus week: 🇧🇬 #Bulgaria 🎉 Many thanks to the dedicated #Wikidata editors with local knowledge making this possible!

The first release includes ministries, state agencies, executive agencies, administrative structures, oblasts, municipalities, kmetstvos, municipal districts and specialized local administrations. Over 3,600 organizations!

Govdirectory

Govdirectory is a crowdsourced and fact checked directory of official governmental online accounts and services.

Two new themes have dropped:

For all the #train enthusiasts out there: mapcomplete.org/historic_rolli… shows a map of historical locomotives and other rolling stock that are permanently placed somewhere - e.g. monuments, in a museum or just abandoned.

mapcomplete.org/historic_aircr… is a similar map showing #aircraft , interlinking with #wikidata for the models.

Beware: they are dangerous: they are quite addictive to get everything right...

As a demonstration of the power of OpenStreetMap and links into things like Wikidata, I present my DecomissionedAircraftMap. It pulls geodata for displayed aircraft from OpenStreetMap and generates thumbnails from linked Wikidata entries.

Feel free to link some more, the bot pulls new thumbnails once a day.
