I have low vision and carry around a cane, mostly to let drivers know I might not see them, but also so I can give their cars a couple good whacks when they're parked up on the pavement.

@bermudianbrit I'd say Gdansk is actually a bad example. I don't live there, but from what I hear, it's basically the "weekend town" for rich people from Warsaw, mostly due to its proximity to both the sea and the capital, and that drives prices (and especially rents) up. The thesis of the article is actually much more accurate for other cities.
