Would not want to travel alone blind. paddleyourownkanoo.com/2022/12…
in reply to Brandon

Issues like this are becoming more regular. A woman in Adelaide was refused a drink at her 5 Star hotel because she did not have a sighted assistance person. This is beyond stupid. As an experienced blind airline passenger both with and without assistance, I have always notified the airline that i was blind and only needed assistance from the Gate to my seat. Never had a problem. So I am unsure why an increasing number of airline staff are putting barriers out there.

Sometimes I forget just how much goodness Rust stuffs into its syntax and semantics in such a tight and well-integrated package: matklad.github.io/2023/01/26/r…

@khalidabuhakmeh Hey there. I found an idea for the problem with SecretStorage using the hardcoded path. If you are on .NET Core or later, you can use the startup hook to override the property!

I understand. It is the startup hooks I've got my doubts about.
It could allow anyone with enough permissions on a server to inject code for any doubtfull purpose. Maybe I'm missing something, but the article sure made me think so.

“We didn’t try to make it attractive to humans. Other than feebly block access to cars, we did precisely bugger-all to make the space something people would want to flock to. It’s like we deliberately set ourselves up for failure so we’d have no choice but to bring back cars because hell, we tried nothing and it didn’t work let’s hurry back to what we’re used to.” brigittepellerin.substack.com/… #ottwalk #autowa @TheWarOnCars

Apparently people don't just like emulated calculators in the browser - they love it, and want more.

So come enjoy the CALCULATOR DRAWER, a dozen plus emulated calculators and (where I could find them) the manuals. Get calculating!

I don't play RPGs enough to get entirely personally wrapped up in this, but I know a whole lot of people who do, and it's been stunning to see just how quickly Wizards of the Coast blew off their own feet here. No one trusts them to do the right thing, nor should they. This is a classic "we're sorry we got caught" situation, and everyone one in that space knows it.
