You should just use that set for UK English and have a different base the other langs draw from. Apparently IPA symbols do really depend on language more than I thought.

I'm definitely going to improve more of the phonemes to sound like the original, we're not quite there with the British 5/9 now getting impacted by the Americanized version, but we will get there. I do think this last version made things better, not worse there. But yeah, UK and US shouldn't conflict on linguistic rules like that for sure.
By any chance do you still have the earliest version of speech player before the multilang support?

If you still hear pops. Mess with the minFadeOutMs and minFadeInMs settings in __init.py of the NVDA driver and tell me what gives you best results. Not sure what else to tell you.

@jmd2000 yeah, was wondering how divided people would be on LegacyPitch, that's what the formula it used before moving towards ESpeak. If I get like, a majority of people saying the synth is horrible with it I'll ship it with it off. I think it for sure gives it more of an Eloquence feel, Espeak tends to do word inflection downwards more heavily and that's what they borrowed as well in later drivers.

hmm. Would people rather have a small pop at the start of speech, or a broken say-all that doesn't combine lines into each other? Decisions decisions.
The popping would be objectively worse. Say all only represents a subset of screen reader speech, and there are alternative ways to read stuff. A pop at the start of every utterance would be unavoidable.
This is only a logical calculation though; actual human people would rather have neither.

No more V2 file. I removed it, between that new pops bug with speech people are hearing and the older DLL included without the classic pitch setting, nope. This one is just trash.
Sadly, During cancellation, the current approach doesn’t allow for a proper fade-out, as isSpeaking is set to False too quickly, stopping the audio loop from processing the fade-out frame. Hmm. Now that's a challenge to solve. Instead of using silence frames, I could create a separate pending queue for index markers I think.
