I really appreciate the boosts regarding this important #accessibility issue within the #pkm community.

If you use #ObsidianMD please πŸ’Ÿ these feature requests and make #obsidian usable for #blind and #partiallysighted users.

You might have your sight now, but what if you lost it one day? How would you cope without screen reader support?

begging a corporation to engage in social causes is pointless, sorry. There's no market for them to capture

That, is a bit ableist don't you think? I usually do not put labels on anyone or anything, but dismissing people like that, invalidating their struggles, is a bit too much. Accessibility should be universal. And while a lot of things work, not having clearly labelled elements is not only inaccessible for blind folks but others as well. and yes, for apps like obsydian, there is always a market.

Thank you to everyone who have boosted, and thank you to the people who have taken the time to πŸ’Ÿthe feature requests.

Before the hearts were still in the single digits, and now its closer to 20. This is good, but it's not enough for it to get attention.

Please boost this post, and please πŸ’Ÿ the #obsidian feature requests for #screenreader support, essential for #blind and #partiallysighted users.

@tardis The forum is open to everyone with an Obsidian account. If you like note-taking software like Notion, One-Note or Milanote, I highly recommend Obsidian. Though, obviously, I don't recommend it to users of screen readers.
in reply to Grace French

I use FS Notes for now. So yeah, screen reader using me, won't be happy then. I went and read the bugs. Quite. Well, not useable as a note taking app for us.
