the snap should just be "a script that grabs the flatpak" 😉. If it's good enough for Ubuntu's debs, it's sure good enough for their snaps.

Oh. No. Change to snap would break my implementation. Just as it did with firefox. Good thing I found a fallback with some .deb packages...

Are we still going to get tar files? Because I deleted that horrid Snap off my system.

This is decent news. Though I’ve tended to prefer flatpak. That said, any ideas if it will support profile and message store outside the user homedir? I prefer profile in non COW file system. But doing this is a pain right now. I’d love to be on beta full time!

Snap is the worst.
Wlel as long as I can install it from tar.gz I don't care.
