Hmm, hold on a sec. You said: In JAWS, message bodies were unreadable in email and compose windows with Braille display. That is simply not true. I use Thunderbird successfully with JAWS and a braille display. I'm able to read message bodies, compose and reply to messages. Curious as to how this was determined?

@mcourcel This study is definitely only the start of our accessibility research, and we'd love for screenreader users to join our UX mailing list to share their experiences and be involved in future work and based on much more feedback. thunderbird.topicbox.com/group…

That link doesn't answer @mcourcel's question.

A user said "hold on a sec, this cake doesn't taste quite right". They asked "what are the ingredients?"

Three days later, you've essentially responded with "JOIN OUR GROUP TO HELP US MAKE BETTER CAKE".

Annoying.

@mcourcel Yes really I was just in there yesterday. Why would they say such a thing and who did they consult and how was it determined? And here's hoping they're not about to break it and in so doing make it a reality.

@robini71 @mcourcel Souhnds like they did some testing with users. But, objectively some results of this testing are iffy. I think this probably falls into the user not knowing their screen reader category.

@ppatel This study was done with experienced screen reader users who were new to Thunderbird. This study is a part of our ongoing efforts to make our products more accessible, and we'd always love to have more feedback from existing Thunderbird users who use assistive tech like screen readers at our UX mailing list: thunderbird.topicbox.com/group…
