unified push is not a priority because when unified push is allowed to run in the background, delta chat is allowed, too; and can handle its own background connection, which is less privacy-invasive. But feel free to add your arguments to the thread: support.delta.chat/t/implement…

thanks for the reminder. we know about “unified push” and probably will reconsider on the next iteration. in general, however, on de-googled-phones also IMAP IDLE usually works using a background connection, so that https://dontkillmyapp.

@compl4xx @treefit I always hear the same answers. A second background connection only for deltachat is what i have to use.

Doesn't matter 6 other apps share their push connection over my own push server and stay in hibernate.

totally bad argument except you have a phone with 1 app installed, Delta chat.
