#Thunderbird #OAuth

So looking at authenticating into #Dokuwiki through the #Mastodon API, it seems to be possible. However, the existing plug-ins that do #OAuth assume a specific URL, so it would be possible but only with one specific, hard-coded instance.

I forgot all the PHP I knew, but it would be cool to be able to just auth with any instance.

We're preparing to ship a 2nd build of Thunderbird 102.7.1 with an improved patch for the #Microsoft365 #oAuth issue reported here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1810760

Our anticipated release window is before midnight Pacific Time, January 31.

Thanks a lot for your patience as we worked through this one.

Want to improve Mastodon's Single Sign On support? I've hacked the #SSO #OIDC code to retrieve the roles from the auth server, but don't actually know ruby or rails or #OAuth so this PR could use more experienced eyes. https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/pull/21787
