Before recycling glass jars and bottles, I don't just wash them out - I also polish them until they glisten and shine. I like to imagine the lads down at the recycling plant examining my glass and saying "brilliant polishing, Matt, you fucking legend". They probably don't though.

Work for a fairly large game developer. It's so depressing that the cheaply made yet highly addictive crap we churn out is profitable, yet the complex and interesting passion projects are lucky to break even. People really need to learn what is worth their precious time and money
I have 5 grand-kids. Each time one was born, I set up an email address for them. I send them random emails of things they did or said, special occasions like birthdays, etc. Things that would be forgotten in time. When they're 18, I'll give them their email address and password.
I don't know why parents are going through the charade of bringing up children in the usual way. There's no way that any child under the age of ten is going to survive the next few decades of climate breakdown, so stop stressing them out over schoolwork and the like.
