Amazon is going to be disabling the privacy feature that processes voice commands locally on Echo devices at the end of this month. Instead, all voice commands will be sent to Amazon's cloud for processing.
I have already followed my own steps to remediate this:
1. Unplug Echo Device
2. Throw Echo Device in Trash
3. Done
As Amazon MGM takes over the James Bond franchise, we can expect:

He will be encouraged by Q. to upgrade from the basic weapons package to the premium version...
and, his personal data will be sold to anyone seeking to market goosd or services to secret service agents.
But, most importantly, he will find that cheaper, look-a-like agents will be trying to get to M's office before him....
I've seen several posts claiming that #Amazon is removing the ability to download #Kindle books to a computer, without an important qualifier: It only applies to physical Kindle owners.
They're specifically removing the ability to download an AZW file that you can then copy to a Kindle reader over USB. If you've never owned a physical Kindle device, or don't own one right now, this option will already be unavailable.
As far as I'm aware, the ability for Kindle for PC/Mac to download KFX files to your computer isn't being removed. Whether these files meet your needs or not is a different matter, but the ability to download Kindle books in any capacity is not going away.

More "enshittification". This time from Amazon. Amazon is pulling a Google, killing off popular services. Evidently, I have until 25th February to download my 708 books that I have purchased from them. After the 25th you can no longer download YOUR books for backup or transfer via USB

tl;dr: I regret buying a paperwhite instead of the Kobo Libra Color.
