Ich wüsste gerne, ob Medienschaffende in ihren Redaktionssitzungen eigentlich selbst hin und wieder reflektieren, was sie tun.
Wie ist das zum Beispiel bei ARD, ZDF. Oder neu auch beim RBB. Die Kritik, dass man Faschisten zu oft eine Plattform bietet, wird man ja sicherlich auch dort vernehmen. Wird das intern eigentlich diskutiert? Macht man sich an verantwortlicher Stelle dort jemals Gedanken darüber, dass es problematisch sein könnte, wenn man Faschisten mediale Öffentlichkeit bietet?
Und weshalb fällt es Medienschaffenden so schwer, eine klare Grenze zu ziehen und zu sagen: Ja, wir wollen das ganze demokratische Spektrum abbilden, aber solange ihr euch außerhalb des demokratischen Feldes bewegt und das nicht in den Griff bekommt, solange findet ihr auf unseren Plattformen auch nicht statt.
Weshalb wird von Politiker*innen andauernd verlangt, Brandmauern zu definieren. Wo sind die Brandmauern der Medien?

Der Beutel sollte sich auf dieser Fahrt im hinteren Bereich (±2. Zweiersitz) des in Fahrtrichtung ersten Wagens in der Hutablage befinden. Einsammeln und zwecks Weiterleitung melden wäre super, denn Fedi könnte hier ggf. besser klappen als Fundservice.

Is is possible that Gnome foundation / GUADEC uses an alternative streaming platform.
IIRC for example PeerTube also can handle live streams (with recording), too.
Someone recently suggested to me that AI systems bring the users' ability closer to the average. I was intrigued by this idea because it reflects my experience. I am, for example, terrible at any kind of visual art, but with something like Stable Diffusion I can produce things that are merely quite bad, whereas without it I can produce things that are absolutely terrible. Conversely, with GitHub Copilot I can write code with more bugs that's harder to read. Watching non-programmers use it and ChatGPT with Python, they can produce fairly mediocre code that mostly works.
I suppose it shouldn't surprise anyone that a machine that's trained to produce output from a statistical model built from a load of examples would tend towards the mean.
An unflattering interpretation of this would suggest that the people who are most excited by AI in any given field are the people with the least talent in that field.

@mcmullin I would interpret it somewhat more positively. Most people are good at a fairly small set of things. I've had four books published in English, but French is my second-best language and there's no way I'd be able to write a book in it. There are vast numbers of languages where I'm even worse, yet with a language model I may be able to at least be comprehensible, if not erudite.
Looking at things like painting or music composition, I'm well below the average of people who produce anything that would go into a training dataset.
Most people are bad at most things. Talented people are typically talented only in a small set of things. It takes time and practive to become really good at something. If, without AI, I can be good at a handful of things and completely useless at a lot of things, but with AI I can be good at the same set of things and mediocre in a lot of things, that's a win.
Unfortunately, so far, the set of things where it can get me up to even mediocrity is fairly small.

De esos que hablan sin parar, hasta el agotamiento (el tuyo, porque ellos/ellas no paran), no te dejan ni meter media palabra en la conversación, que termina siendo un monólogo insufrible y estás deseando de que llegue el momento de despedirte.
Son así: la mujer de un buen amigo que convirtió el día perfecto de ayer en una tortura. El marido de mi mejor compañera de la carrera, que cada vez que me llama para que quedemos todos me obliga a tomarme un ansiolítico. Una amiga de mi marido, que es el peor caso de todos con un ratio de unas 300 palabras por minuto durante todo el tiempo que estemos juntos.
Con lo que me gusta el silencio a mí.

Und das heißt natürlich auch, dass man im Umgang mit Faschisten deutlich besser vorbereitet sein muss. Da hilft es nicht, wenn man mit der Kamera draufhält und glaubt, man könne eine Alice Weidel entzaubern, in dem man ihr nach der Wahl sagt "Ihr habt zwar gewonnen, aber so grandios wie ihr das wolltet war der Sieg aber wohl nicht, wa?"

Jedenfalls meinte er, und ich unterstütze das vollständig: Es ist gefährlich, wenn Medien heute so tun, als sei Donald Trump in den Medien ein ganz normaler Präsidentschaftskandidat.
Als sei er nicht ein gefährlicher Faschist, der ganz offen zum Ziel hat, die Demokratie in den USA zu beenden. Der das bereits mit Gewalt versucht hat.
Donald Trump ist kein Opfer, weil auf ihn geschossen wurde. Donald Trump ist kein falsch verstandener Konservativer, dem man nur das richtige Gegenmodell entgegnen muss. Donald Trump ist gefährlich, und er bringt eine ganze Packung an rechtsextremen Unterstützern mit. Er ist, und auch da bin ich bei Mesarosch, ein Rassist, ein Faschist, ein Frauenhasser. Er verkörpert das Widerlichste, was menschliche Ideologie derzeit so zu bieten hat. Und das muss man auch so benennen.

Was sonst sollen die sein?
Es gibt keine einzige demokratische Begründung, die legitimiert, dass jemand eine völkische, nationalistische, menschenverachtende Partei wählt, die faschistische Menschen in ihren Reihen duldet und an die Spitze hebt. Die Fakten liegen offen auf dem Tisch, es gibt Gerichtsprozesse dazu, es gibt Berichterstattung dazu. Himmel, Höcke stellt sich offen auf den Platz und lässt seine Anhänger*innen Parolen aus dem Dritten Reich skandieren.
Wer eine solche Partei 2024 wählt - egal ob aus Protest, aus Unzufriedenheit oder aus Überzeugung - der ist ein Faschist. Er beteiligt sich aktiv an dem Versuch, die demokratische Grundordnung der Bundesrepublik zu beenden.

Stattdessen sollte er sich in eine Talkshow setzen und klar sagen: Man darf unzufrieden sein mit Politik. Man darf entsetzt sein, welche Lösungen die Politik für Fragen der Migration anbietet. Man darf verärgert sein, wenn die Grünen den Verbrennermotor und die Gasheizung verbieten wollen. Das ist absolut okay!
Die Lösung ist aber nicht, Faschisten zu wählen. Sondern sich politisch zu organisieren und ein Konzept zu erarbeiten, das die Probleme auf andere Weise löst. Im Rahmen der demokratischen und rechtsstaatlichen Ordnung. DAS ist die Lösung.
