Hey Doug. Unrelated to midnight oil, but I'd love your recommendation on a pocket AM/FM radio if you know of any. My old radio shack special is finally dying after over 20 years of service.
Price isn't really an object unless the radio is like a thousand bucks. My important needs are clear reception, and preferably an analogue dial. I had my pocket radio out at the game last weekend, and I had to grab the antenna with both hands to pretty much turn myself into a grounded receiver. it's time to upgrade.
@lerven OK, when you say pocket, do you mean as in fits in a shirt pocket? And yeah, it's hard to find analog radios that are decent anymore. But I'll start doing some checking.
Something I could fit into a pocke to tbring to a ball park or arena. Yep. and I agree. I've struggled to find decent radios. they don't make them like they used to.

stereo FM is pretty important since I had gotten a radio, but it was mono which meant I only got audio out of one year. Weather band would be cool, but if I don't have one it wouldn't be the end of the world.
Trace shortcuts in the Windows File Explorer. I'm not sure when these were added. Tested on Windows 11 25H2. Control+windows+shift+l: produces a notification that a trace log is being generated, followed by a second one when the log finishes that has an option to open Feedback Hub to submit it. Control+windows+shift+t: produces a notification that an error occured while getting a trace.

What made me decide on a settings panel? Honestly, the consensus on the LegacyPitch is very, very mixed. I see that there's plenty of people who like the ESpeak style intonation, while others don't. So then I realized I can ship the packs with it off by default and people can toggle it somehow. Hmm. But how. It's going to be real good. Comboboxes are exposed in voice settings, but then you also have the choice to edit numeric values in a pack via the panel. At least, that's where this is headed.

I think people will really get a kick out of wikiSeek. There's documentation for all three so if something is a bit of an unusual name, check it out. So far I've tried to go for useful things that I haven't seen elsewhere.

That was my hope. I made it because I can't sync my Orbit reader or Zoom H1E via internet time, so I keep my PC very in-sync and then set them to 0 at the exact top of the minute. I'm stupidly picky about time for some reason.

@Bri is there a check for update option in the Mac version too? I think I'm ready to go back. when I type in a window and press enter to send, for example for a reply or an edit, it just sits there frozen for over a minute before it sends.

Thank you for confirming! That's awesome news, and will probably be why I stay with FastSM all on its own. I quoted pretty frequently on Twitter, and now that Mastodon finally supports it, and I finally have a Windows client that does as well, I'll be doing more of it here. It's also great to be able to properly read quoted posts from others.
If "apt-get install" tells you "after this installation, XX GB additional disk space will be used" – that means that YOU SHOULD LOOK if that's available. Because, APT DOES NOT – it simply … well, stops working when the disk is full 🤦♂️

@SamantazFox So did I, which is why I didn't check. But then, who'd have thought installing a graphics driver would require more than half of the system partition (here: I tried to install ROCm/AMDGPU on a test machine, which required "25 GB (!!) additional disk space)…
Checking disk space must be complicated. Package dependencies are easier… 🙊 💨
