LibreWolf browser: telemetry stripped Firefox fork - worth trying if you are annoyed with Firefox recently but don't want to join the Chromium crowd: https://librewolf-community.gitlab.io/ #linux #browser #firefox #fork #librewolf #privacy #alternative #foss

Oh it's so privacy conscious that #Accessibility support has also been stripped out.

I'm tallking about universal design and screen reader accessibility here. I need an accessible browser because I'm blind. Also I'd like to choose privacy encouraging solutions where available. I think increasing privacy is not meaning decreased accessibility support in general, so it's why I've mentioned it here.

I've been meaning to give this a go, it's good to know that it won't work.
My guess is that they basically stripped out things like IAccessible 2 support, so screen readers are unable to access a page's DOM.

I've tested it on linux, so I guess even internall accessibility related stuff has been omitted from building.

We could try and report this, and I guess Brave will work till it's fixed (if it's fixed).

Frankly, I like firefox better even without librewolf patches than brave.
