@flarion We're working on a blog post that will provide the tl;dr, and we'll also be adding transcripts to future videos. But basically, we're working on the smoothest transition possible between K-9 and Thunderbird for Android, using Sync or possibly a one-tap migration.

Are the full videos usually posted? I see last month's (add-on office hours) and two clips from this month, I think
in reply to Martin

@mdosch No, just the subtitles for now (in English and German). But your question prompted me to update the PeerTube and YouTube links with the transcript. Great idea :D

Please check again and you should see it.

I don't like the mentioned #Mozilla stuff (like accounts and Sync).

Will this kind of features limited to the #Thunderbird version of the code base?

in reply to Nordnick

@nick Thunderbird for Android and K-9 Mail will have identical feature sets.

@nick I should add that using a Mozilla Account and thus using Sync is completely *optional*

Thanks for your reply.

Do i have to install it... or is it possible to select options on installation (like installers sometimes do on desktop systems)?

Do you plan customization options of the UI?

What about a transition path like
in #K-9 : Backup > Settings export
and then in new Thunderbird App : Settings import
