i did find it kind of amusing hearing millennials describing the “before Internet” days. Hehe Gen X here. 😉 I didn’t even see my first ‘modem (300baud) until I was in my early teens. The ye old days of BBS’es. 🤣 My 10 year old is mystified about a world before tablets and internet and phone supercomputers.

Sone fun behind the scenes info though! I had no idea ther eas a way to simulate reduced speeds. I’ll have to try that. And uBlock Origin! Definitely going to install that.

looking from the outside it can seem like programming is some sort of magic but hearing people speak about it brings it back to earth
