#deltachat_desktop 1.48.0 is currently releasing. Lots of under-the-hood code changes and bugfixes.
AppStores, besides flathub already have the new release. flathub will follow soon.
#deltachat_desktop finally has Automated E2E testing again! 👨🔬 🧪 🚀

For now this "#deltachat_web" project is merely meant as proof that the deltachat desktop frontend/UI has no dependency on electron anymore.
With a few nice side-benefits:
It allows us developers to use other browsers dev tools to improve #accessibility for example and to bring back automated ui #testing.
Last but not least this serves as a stepping stone to make a #tauri version of #deltachat_desktop
Stay tuned for the #nlnet funded #delta_tauri project.
#deltachat_desktop 1.46.8 is rolling out, compared to 1.46.7 it mostly has bugfixes and smaller improvements.

#deltachat_desktop 1.46 rollout is basically done except for #homebrew and #nix (the Nix package is already in the works, home-brew could use some help)

So if you have problems tell us, additional information will help us to solve these issues. (frankly we rely on user feedback because we have #noTelemetry)

We also improved the new small screen mode so that #linuxmobile phones can use it again. (still not a use case we can support officially, but now you can actually use it)

🔔 The next version will also bring multi account notifications to desktop.
🔕 You will also be able to mute accounts so you don't need to mute all chats by hand in your casual mailing list account.
For macOS users we removed the window titlebar, inspired by a popular proprietary gaming chat app. I think it looks quite cool now 😄
If you use the #flatpak version of #deltachat_desktop and it crashes 💥 when you click on notifications or unread chats -> you can disable notifications as workaround to get rid of the crashes.
We unfortunately haven't found a solution for this problem yet. 😢
Seems to be related to a libnotify portal + electron issue.
