Did you know that voice chats have also been available for #Mastodon for some time now? The whole thing is called #Audon and can either be used via the servers that are already connected, or you can set up your own servers for it. Did you know you can use your fedi account to #voice #chat with followers or other fedizens? The software is called #audon (for #audio on #mastodon I guess) and works pretty well.

And if you're the sort of fedi person who likes DIY and self-hosting, the project is free software so you can do that, too. Give it a shot, if voice is something that interests you at all.

Wusstet ihr, dass es Voicechats auch seit einiger Zeit auch für #Mastodon gibt? Das ganze nennt sich #Audon und kann entweder über die bereits angebundenen Server verwendet werden, oder, ihr setzt Eure eigenen Server dafür auf. Ich finde es schade, dass es so wenig genutzt wird, da es definitiv mehr Aufmerksamkeit verdient. Just talking about audio chat, I recently tried out #Audon, which is a web-based audio chat for mastodon and fedi accounts. You can try it on https://audon.space/

The #a11y is not perfect, but it can be used. First time you use it you need to authorise it with your fedi account. After that, if you're the host of a room, you need to authorise people coming in. If you just want to join a room the host should give you the link, which you can get from the address bar, and that's it.
