zítra chceme dělat smažený květák s brkaší, v neděli lososa - ale s čím?

napadají mě: fazolky, listový špenát, brokolice?

(červená čočka by šla, ale dneska mám k obědu hrachovou kaši)

Krásné páteční #dobréRáno, přátelé #fediverse. Za malou chvíli konečně vyrážím směrem na Klínovec. Nejvyšší hora Krušných hor, takže to dneska bude dost náročné. Pořádný #cyklovylet a samožřejmě po cestě bude i #birellovka :-))

@archos yes. Teď mám 4 dny 6pm - 5am

Jsou krásně prázdné s blbuprosté silnice 😂

Totally normal political candidate buying donuts and demonstrating his appeal to the average American…

Candidate: “How long you work here now?”

Worker 1: “Since the beginning of July.”

Candidate: “Ok. Ok. Good. How about you, sir?”

Worker 2: “Almost 2 years.”

Candidate: [ waves arm across donut case ]
“Yeah, gimme a lotta glazed here, some sprinkled stuff, some of these cinnamon rolls, just whatever makes sense.”

[ open-mouthed smile ]

in reply to Adrian Roselli

I maintain that you can tell nearly everything you need to know about a person by how they treat the service workers waiting on them.

Also by how they treat animals (not just their pets). But there were none in the donut shop, so…

tbf, audits are the bread and butter of tons of cybersec firms and red teaming is the foundation of those.

like, people want to red team because there’s money in pentesting with a lower barrier to entry. it’s not exactly their fault.

Hololive launched a social media app. their chat has historically needed heavy sophisticated moderation and filtering to limit the spread of dox materials for their vtubers; their social media app had barely any and was quickly put on lockdown after multiple vtubers got doxed.

talent agencies are supposed to protect their talents and Hololive did the opposite.

The VR Cardinal LE, a GPS and book reading device from the american printing house for the blind for $919 US. I assume humanware sent them their unsold VR trek units?

in reply to Jay Pellis

I owned one for a few months before I chose to sell it. I'm not 100% certain but I thought that it had 32 GB. If Humanware had a Mastodon presence, we could ask them but I don't think that they're out here.

Just saw a TikTok “My friends’ reaction to the biggest plot twist in Doctor Who!”

And now I’m curious… what do you think the biggest plot twist in #DoctorWho is?

in reply to Violinknitter

The biggest plot twist in Doctor Who? Probably the reveal of the Timeless Child.

While it wasn't as perfect of an episode as it could have been, 73 Yards certainly had its unexpected twists and turns, as well. I wish the show did more things like that. Doctor Who is one of my all-time favorite shows and it likely always will be but, to me, the show has rarely lived up to its true potential due to this seemingly unspoken but obligatory rule that almost every story has to have a monster trying to take over the planet, solar system, galaxy, universe, etc., etc., I know some DW fans might strongly disagree with me but it's how I feel. In spite of that, I still love the show.

“Here’s what my boss sleeping with my wife thought me about leadership” is a wild thing to post on LinkedIn. I’d have considered it over the top even as a parody.

in reply to Dare Obasanjo

But also... if his boss was able to seduce his wife so easily just out of spite, I feel like there might be bigger problems here than just a toxic boss? This is messed up in far more ways than one.

Disability Rights New York has filed a class action lawsuit against Nassau County seeking an injunction to stop the enforcement of mask bans.

This is exactly the kind of action we need to see happen against discriminatory & ableist mask bans.

Law enforcement should not be the arbiter of who is “sick enough” to legally wear a mask. Many disabilities are invisible - and police are NOT doctors.

For more on the Nassau County mask ban and why it’s discriminatory - as well as why everyone (disabled or not) should be allowed to wear a mask - read my article here: disabledginger.com/p/nassau-co…

@mcourcel I actually did know that. I had a reason for asking. I’m going to be there in October or November.

@jfayre @mcourcel Oh wow! We always play tag. Lol! I know you and Christine were here when I wasn’t, then you’ll be here again in October when I’m not. I’d love to meet you and Christine. Better luck next year, or something.

I've seen a few blind folks posting their positive experiences with the Ray-Ban Meta glasses, specifically the AI. Wanted to post a quick counterpoint.

It wasn't as useful as I'd hoped--I couldn't get it to OCR or summarize menus for example--but I was mostly happy using it for last mile visual help. "What's this piece of paper, what are the cooking instructions for this pizza, what brand are these dishwasher pods, etc."

Except a few weeks ago, Meta AI just stopped responding. I can ask it for the time but that's about it. I've connected a calling app but it refuses to call out, and of course visual/image-based help is dead too.

This issue has persisted through multiple app resets and factory resets of the glasses. AFAIK everything is updated, too.

The cherry on top is that I just pecked out a bug report using BSI on Android, and submitting that seemed to hard-lock/crash the app with no indication that the report even went through. So who the hell knows if I actually did the thing.

I'm not too upset since I have the disposable income to spare, but I'm regretting the purchase a bit now and can't really recommend them. Real bummer--I got a decent amount of use out of them when they worked but now they're just an expensive headset.

in reply to Nolan Darilek

Great glad you got it sorted! Yeah it basically won’t do PII at all.

One time I tried to get it to read the CVC off the back of my credit card to pay my electric bill and it refused. That became some fairly colorful product feedback :)

OK so it wasn't just me not getting the right incantation. This thing is like a pedant toddler sometimes. I think I even explicitly asked if it couldn't speak any identifying details and it just spewed some bullshit. Thanks for confirming, hope they take that product feedback seriously.

THE PERFECT HUSBAND
Several men are in the locker room of a golf club. A cellular phone on a bench rings and a man engages the hands-free speaker function and begins to talk.
Everyone else in the room stops to listen.
MAN: "Hello"
WOMAN: "Hi Honey, it's me. Are you at the club?"
MAN: "Yes."
WOMAN: "I'm at the shops now and found this beautiful leather coat. It's only $2,000; is it OK if I buy it?"
MAN: "Sure, go ahead if you like it that much."
WOMAN: "I also stopped by the Lexus dealership and saw the new models. I saw one I really liked."
MAN: "How much?"
WOMAN: "$90,000." ;
MAN: "OK, but for that price I want it with all the options."
WOMAN: "Great! Oh, and one more thing... I was just talking to Janie and found out that the house I wanted last year is back on the market. They're asking $980,000 for it."
MAN: "Well, then go ahead and make an offer of $900,000. They'll probably take it. If not, we can go the extra eighty-thousand if it's what you really
want."
WOMAN: "OK. I'll see you later! I love you so much!"
MAN: "Bye! I love you, too."
The man hangs up. The other men in the locker room are staring at him in astonishment, mouths wide open.
He turns and asks, "Anyone know whose phone this is?"

Just putting a this out there: I think $DJT is such a naked pump-and-dump scheme that (provided he doesn't win) it'll be a big part of his final downfall.

It was up 15% yesterday, on NO news, which reeks of a pump and dump. Market makers can prop up the price with a few big buys and get out, leaving naïve investors holding the bag. If that's _the plan_, that's textbook securities fraud, and a criminal conspiracy.

He can start selling his 60% stake in 4 weeks.
