@jcsteh Mega thanks for putting the final touch to this important PR! Now that the display/touch issues are resolved, hope it is re-incorporated into NVDA shortly.

GNOME Shell running out of the box on postmarketOS 23.06

Kudos to pabloyoyoista; GNOME and postmarketOS contributor / liaison :postmarketos::gnome:

He's made the GNOME experience as upstream as possible. We've discussed further improvements.

BTW, he's been looking for help blogs.gnome.org/pabloyoyoista/…

A swan on what looks like a collision course – taken as I was standing, apparently in a good spot for flying over, on a hill next to the lake it took off from. It was gaining altitude faster than it was closing the distance, so this didn't feel quite as perilous as it might appear!

libei 1.0.0 is out! Finally!

gitlab.freedesktop.org/libinpu…

Almost 3 years of development (admittedly with pauses), libei merged from a "hey, let's wrap emulating input into a library" idea into what's basically a point-to-point transport layer for logical input events. With the pending XDG Desktop Portal and compositor changes we'll be able to emulate and capture input in Wayland environments. And do much more, probably, there's already interest for accessibility implementations.

Good morning #DrupalCon! Yesterday @e0ipso and I presented on Single Directory Components in #Drupal core. During the session I narrated a video where I converted a component to use SDC. You can see a version of this narration at youtu.be/DbpZOhiq_Ho

If someone is curious about #AvaloniaUI and wants to try my Game of Life implementation, I have it up here.

The largest dimensions I could get were 250^2 before it started to feel sluggish. If you have better hardware, try it and see how high you can get.

It has been some time since we last published a global product report for the Librem 5 phone. This is not because of slowing down our development effort, it is the opposite. We have been very busy and we have made substantial progress during the last few months.

If you want to connect a USB drive to an Android phone or tablet, you’ll need an OTG (On-The-Go) cable or adapter. OTG allows you to connect USB peripherals like flash drives, keyboards, and mice to your Android device. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to connect a USB drive to an Android phone: erisilebilirandroid.com/how-to…

I’ll share this here since somebody might find it interesting, and the #GNOME discourse instance doesn’t receive that much traffic on its own:

OK, so with the new Eloquence, I know this will sound weird. I raised headsize to 55, which got rid of the weird almost squishyness it right now has. After experimenting with the settings on my Mac, I've found that raising "pitch base" to like 165 is good. To people wondering, "pitch fluctuation" is what controls inflection, so yes you can make it sound like the older Openbook Eloquence now. OK fine I made an audio post. Just listen to this it's around 15 minutes or so.
