@esplovago The status of the project also came to my mind, when reading that recommendation. @thunderbird Are there plans to contribute to the project to improve GPG support for Thunderbird on Android?
Right now, the android app requires OpenKeyChain to manage and use PGP keys to open/send encrypted mails. This makes Thunderbird dependent on another third-party app that might stop development anytime.
I switched from K9 to Thunderbird last week, and have no issues to report, although Thunderbird did not, as I anticipated, spot my K9 installation and offer to carry the accounts across.
My only issue is that nothing I do will get Thunderbird to appear in my AOI Launcher shortcuts. I'm sure I'll figure that out in time.
