Someone who uses fish on the latest MacOS, please help out. Every time I try to use it, every time brew does not work, and it's not found and therefore, I am stuck. I just switched from zsh. #Mac #Apple #Fish #Terminal #Help

I've just pushed the implementation of a GUI for calls in the CLI frontend of #Libervia

That means that you have a full-featured #Qt GUI accessible quickly from your #terminal to make or receive your #XMPP calls. Can also be useful to compensate for clients missing A/V calls.

Documentation at https://libervia.org/__b/doc/backend/libervia-cli/call.html

It works on #X11 and #Wayland and supports desktop sharing.

Man Reader - my Mac app for reading Terminal command man pages - has finally had its long awaited update. The new version is now waiting for review.

Currently, Man Reader costs USD 4.99 or the local equivalent. I will be increasing this to USD 9.99 when the update is released, so if you want to save some money, buy it now and get the upgrade at half-price.

:fediverse: Now that there are so many people here, maybe there's a chance:

🖥️ In the 1990s, I used a #MicroVAX II with a #DEC #VT320 #terminal like the one shown here, but with an original black plastic case for both the monitor (white monochrome) and keyboard as sold new by the vendor (Evans & Sutherland).

🔎 Has anyone ever come across one of these with the black case? Surely some of these rare models were saved from the landfill.

Totally tooting my own Horn Bet, but if anyone enjoys the game of #Craps, I coded an #accessible version of it with #Python called Oh Craps! along with the 3 other casino mother games that can be played in #Terminal or your command line of choice. Couldn't find any accurate nor accessible casino games out there so I just built my own! I also created and maintain a compendium of Craps strategies for fellow #Dice nerds: https://marconius.com/craps

@ru Ah, thanks :) It’s the Pencil theme on Black Box terminal.

Black Box has built-in support for GNOME’s dark and light (oops, I mean “mixed” mode – https://ar.al/2022/08/17/lipstick-on-a-pig/) mode and it supports themes for each.

Send Output To Editor (sote) 1.0.0 released

Fish(er) plugin that sends the output of your last command to your editor.

> But Coffee, what on earth are # graphics?

👉 Did you know?

You can display actual # # on the actual # in selected # emulators.

Terminals which support this include #, # and # (after configuration). Support in # and other #-based terminals is underway.

Tip: if you’re using the new GNOME Console and Fish shell, you don’t have to wait until the GNOME folks have colour schemes implemented if you want to customise yours.

fisher install FabioAntunes/base16-fish-shell

Then, in your console, type base16<tab> to see the list of different colour schemes you can try.
