A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. A Ferenghi businessman is haunted by three spirits who attempt to remind him of his honor. The Ferenghi should have simply slain the demons who attacked him. 3/5 Christmas Bat'leths. Glory to Tiny Tim!
The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry. Two pathetic humans attempt a mating ceremony in which they sell their most prized possessions in order to purchase gifts for each other. Incomprehensible. Why does the female not simply bite the male to show her affection. 1/5 Christmas Bat'leths.
The Nutcracker by E.T.A. Hoffman. A child's toy comes to life and defeats the evil Rat King in glorious hand-to-hand combat. Then the toy's honor is memorialized in dance and song. A true warrior's tale! 5/5 Christmas Bat'leths.
A Charlie Brown Christmas by Charles M. Shulz. A young warrior struggles with internal demons of self-doubt and depression. While selecting a Christmas tree, he symbolically chooses one which reflects how he views himself - a weak tree, unable to support even a single ornament. He lashes out at those he considers his closest friends, attempting to remind them of their honor, and eventually gives up, believing his efforts were ultimately meaningless. But he is mistaken. His words were spoken with the heart of a true Klingon warrior, and his friends wrap the tree in their most prized possessions, giving it the strength to stand on its own, holding the weight of ornaments many times its own weight over. They gather around and sing songs of bravery and courage, and remind the young Klingon that he too will be welcomed into Sto-vo-Kor. Because sometimes the greatest battle a warrior will ever fight is the one inside his own mind and heart. 6/5 Christmas Bat'leths. Glory to the House of Brown.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr Seuss. A cautionary tale. A Klingon from a lowly house is shunned by his peers and forced to live without honor on the outskirts of town. Instead of seeking honor and glory on his own like a true Klingon, he instead sneaks around under cover of darkness and steals the town's presents with the help of his faithful targ. As punishment, Kah'less removes his warrior spirit and he is doomed to stay in the small town facing his dishonor every day. If he had the heart of a warrior, he would have done battle against Whoville and claimed the glory of Christmas for his own. 4/5 Christmas Bat'leths.
The Nightmare Before Christmas by Tim Burton. The King of Halloween Town assigns three children to kidnap the demon Sandy Claws because he is a coward who refuses to fight his own battles. They too fail, because none of them possess the heart of a warrior. 0/5 Christmas Bat'leths. Tim Burton has no honor.
Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer by Robert L. May. A young warrior is shunned by his peers due to a physical deformity. He leaves his family and house to seek his own glory. He returns after defeating a dentist, a filthy gold-loving Ferenghi prospector, and an abominable snowman. Recognizing his fearless warrior spirit, he is given the place of honor at the front of Santa's sleigh. 5/5 Christmas Bat'leths. Glory upon the House of Rudolph!

I should've done this a long time ago (and I thought I did at one point) but just subscribed to the GNOME release calendar on my phone, so I'm hoping that I'll get notifications there when it's a release day. I'm always worried that I'll overlook the deadline and forget to make an AT-SPI release, and I'm pretty sure that I've done that before, so hopefully this will help.
s an aside, I don't think I've ever used my measuring spoons, either. I never measure spices, but then I'm not any kind of chef, either.
I am currently trying to for the problems with git.friendi.ca that occur more and more frequently by moving this setup to a new server.
I will need a bit more time to accomplish this.

Starting with v7.68.5-1, we've unified Molly and Molly-FOSS into a single fully FOSS app, with no proprietary dependencies.
We replaced the proprietary Play Services SDK previously used by Molly with our own open-source implementation, so FCM push notifications are now supported for all users.
If you have either Molly or Molly-FOSS installed, just update like usual. No migration needed.
Molly v7.68.5-1 is already available on GitHub and F-Droid. Accrescent coming soon.
I've always dreamed of a world in which we have to optimize code for memory usage more often, but I did not expect it to come about because of market distortions by an AI bubble.

The newest version of Firefox added browser.ml.linkPreview.* settings in about:config, which apparently serve no purpose other than popping up massive, stupid overlays where they offer to use AI to describe the bookmark you've visited 500 times.So fuckin' stupid that we have to constantly disable more and more settings they've randomly added to get around the fact that we've disabled all the settings. It's just the fucking worst, people that run companies are all brain-dead assholes.

Hier gerade: Ein Rücksturz in die 90er.
Damals wohnten wir in einem Haus, das seit den frühen 70ern eine Sechser-WG war und in der links-alternativen Szene Triers einen berühmt-berüchtigten Ruf als Zentrum allen Chaos, aber auch als Ort legendärer WG-Feten hatte.
Für die Badezimmertüre gab es keinen Schlüssel mehr, sodass man, wenn man ungestört bleiben wollte, laut Musik hörte.
Je nach Musik wusste man, wer sich gerade im Bad befand. Z. B. hörte Mitbewohnerin T. entweder Element of Crime, Ry Cooder oder Buena Vista Social Club.
Jetzt hat meine Liebste die Badezimmer-Musiktradition wiederaufgenommen und ich muss nun an unsere ehemalige Mitbewohnerin T. denken, weil meine Liebste Talking Timbuktu von Ry Cooder hört. ^_^

Anyone using S3 (compatible) storage for incremental backups of Linux and/or MacOS machines at home? If yes, what backup software/tool? Open source preferred. My first unfocused research suggests to look at restic [1] and maybe just some scripting around rclone [2]. Any hints/links welcome! (Yes, this is part of my project to use local S3 compatible storage based on garage [3])

@Scott I made a bat file based on similar information a month or so ago that takes image as the first input, file as the second, and turns that video into <second file.mp4> as the output.
The contents of said batch file goes like this:

Somewhere along the line developing Catima changed from "fun little hobby project where I can build an useful thing and have fun" to "oh God if I make a single mistake I risk 125 thousand people losing their data, I must not make any mistakes" and I do kinda miss the old vibe.
I mean it's amazing that my little hobby project got this many people to have just that tiny bit more privacy (yes, loyalty cards inherently are tracking but at least we reduce the trackers) but sheesh 😅

I meant the question rhetorically. And id gave bet money on the answer. I'd feel a little bit better if it meant that hundreds of smart folk had done deep code dives and run tests to find issues. Even if not a vuln, that review level would be nice.
I spent many hours yesterday debunking another hackerone report against #curl.
It's such a good sigh of relief when the ultimate conclusion is that it is not a vulnerability. (disclosed soon of course)
