While #DeltaChat #Android paved the way for reactions, #iOS and #Desktop did not stand back with awe!
But ran ahead!
Adding tons more possible reactions than poor #Android that could react with 👍👎❤️😂 or 🙁 only! Mostly with 🙁 :)

... but now #DeltaChat #Android catches up, allowing all the things as well :)

Today #GNOME 46 is released and as it has been a tradition for 16 years, I wrote an article about the release for @rootcz (in Czech).

I've just pushed A/V call commands to the #CLI frontend of #Libervia. I believe that it's the only #XMPP CLI to date with calling capabilities (make and receive calls).

This complete #web and #desktop (#Kivy) implementations.

All thanks to #NLnet / #NGI Assure grant (and hard work!).

Still need some stabilisation work, hopefully will be ready for incoming release.

Frog is such a neat little Linux desktop app to extract text from images.

You can give it an image (file selector, drag & drop) or let it take a screenshot. And you can even paste an image from your clipboard!

This is great for adding alt text when posting an image or copying text (as text) from a screenshot for sharing (or adding to UI mockups, as I often do).

It also reads QR codes and supports several languages.

Remember that you can use the "Advanced Web Interface", accessible from your Mastodon account settings, for a TweetDeck-like interface on desktop!

This makes it way easier to see stuff at a glance. If it isn't your thing though, you don't need to use it.

Also note that you can adjust which columns are pinned, so if your local and federated timelines move too quickly, you can just unpin them to only see Home and Notifs, or only open them up manually when you want to see them!

Boost this so people can be made aware!
