Audio is working for #PostmarketOS on #Fairphone5! 🎉

Congrats to Alexandre Ferrieux, who achieved this result, and to all contributors of @postmarketOS for providing a truly alternative and independent operating system for mobile! 💚

Now, AFAIK, Fairphone 5 will become the first mobile device where almost everything works with pmOS 🤩

Ever since I switched to #GNU #Linux in my private life, using #Windows at work gives me near-daily headaches. I have full admin rights, yet I constantly fight the system: forced updates, inconsistent behavior, sluggish UI, weird errors buried in the registry.

I used to think this was just how #computers worked. But after experiencing the #freedom and clarity of #FOSS, Windows feels more like an obstacle than a tool.

Going back feels wrong.

Google has released the source code for PebbleOS, the operating system behind the now dead Pebble smartwatch.

This will bring more life to older Pebble watches and perhaps new watches powered by it in the future. Credit where credit is due I guess.

Today was my last day @TauriApps and @crabnebula after 3 very cool years.

This means I will be working on k23 the #wasm #os but also **looking for work** so if you’re hiring send me a message :)

Reposts appreciated ❤️

So remember how I was saying you shouldn’t have to know or care if your operating system is immutable for an immutable operating system to be usable by everyday folks? (You know, clever folks, like brain surgeons and astronauts, not just your regular garden variety tech hobbyist with time to spare following instructions from a wiki.)

Seems others think so too… #VanillaOS sounds very promising. #Fedora #Silverblue folks should take some notes.
