Fedora 43 is expected to be released within weeks. I decided that the late stage of the beta process was a suitable moment to upgrade my server. Several days of debugging and configuration changes ensued, but not due to its being a beta version. The most complex problem was to adjust to the new (backward-incompatible) syntax of the Dovecot 2.4 IMAP configuration. Thanks to participants on the Dovecot mailing list for recognizing one of my errors, I was able to fix the configuration and return my email service to normal. #Fedora #Linux #DovecotIMAP

Framework has recently funded Hyprland and promoted a distribution made by DHH (someone commonly mentioned in their Twitter feed too).
Their response to criticism until now has been the following:

I've seen this "neutral" drift enough times to know where it ends, so unless something changes soon, I'm afraid of the community that will stem from this.

I don't want to spend money with a company that has a "big tent" policy and allows people to piss in it. I never want to be in a tent with people pissing in it. OSS does not need it.
Speaking as a German - this 'big tent' approach just doesn't work.

I'm a little confused about the Framework/DHH kerfuffle. Is the concern that he's a dangerous person to platform because he has a following?
I haven't read anything from DHH in years, but enjoyed the early 37signals blogs from him and Jason on bootstrapping a company. I guess I've been ignoring him, and I'm not sure why he's getting so much attention now.

Každý rok sleduji, jak dopadli naši běžci na Spartathlonu, ale letos mi to uniklo. Přitom ho Radek Brunner vyhrál v padesáti letech. Jako první Čech! Fantastický výkon doběhnout do cíle, ne ještě být první na 246 kilometrech.
Slovo "runner" má dokonce ve jméně. Jenže Radek Brunner je běžec extrémní. Zvítězil v ultramaratonu z Atén do Sparty, který je dlouhý 246 kilometrů, a to v sedmém nejlepším čase historie. Povedlo se mu to jako vůbec prvnímu Čechovi.
@archos Tak to já se nikým známým nemůžu chlubit, Leda tak u nás v paneláku bydlel Cagaš, budoucí brankář Vítkovic a Havířova. Nosil nám z tréninku zlomené hokejky a my jsme na dvorku s nimi hráli hokej. 🤣

anybody have an idea why some recent FreeBSD update would have broken the ability of ssh(1) to attach to a remote machine using .ssh/config settings that set the HostName to an IP address, but it works if the HostName has an actual name? It doesn't seem to be *all* my ssh-by-IP-address items. Issuing with -vvv shows it hanging after
debug3: Fssh_set_sock_tos: set socket 3 IP_TOS 0x48
If I switch my .ssh/config to have "HostName full.server.name.example.com", it works fine, and FWIW, doing a `host $SERVERNAME` does return the correct/same IP address that was used in the .ssh/config file originally.
For now I've updated it to just use the hostname and it works, but I can reliably switch back and forth and trigger the hang every time. In case it matters, this was with the 14.2p6 I was running as well as the 14.3p3 I just (finally) upgraded to in the hopes it would fix the issue:

Je suis en général contre des interdictions quelconques mais en effet ça peut être, disons, malcompréhensible. J'ai déjà vu des cas où l'on écrivait quelque chose comme : « chicken burger original [beaucoup de tralala] (vegan) ». Je perçois l'information d'une façon linéaire parce que pour moi c'est de l'audio ou du Braille. Donc, je voudrais bien savoir si je dois passer cet élément ou ça peut m'intéresser le plus tôt possible. Peut-être je ne comprends pas parce que je suis pas végane, mais pourquoi ne pas inventer des noms pour plat proprement véganes ? Je sais pas, on dit «falafel » et pas « boule de viande végane » )j'exagère, mais j'espère que tu vois ce que je veux dire). C'est pas pour te taquiner ou quelque chose comme ça, je suis vraiment curieux pourquoi les véganes utilisent… bon… la « terminologie » des mangeurs de viande 😊

@SuspiciousDuck IMHO "zamerny rozvrat" je silne slovo¹, ale to uz zachadzam do zbytocnych detailov. IMHO ano, cielene vyrabaju dalsie a dalsie problemy aby prekryli to, ze 1) nerobia co maju (=riadne spravovat stat) a 2) robia co nemaju (=kradnutie, rozvrat, …).
¹ Oni su taky lameri, ze spravit nieco poriadne (napr. co i len to kradnutie, o ktore im ide v prvom rade) nevedia. Ale na rozvrat statu netreba povedzme Einsteina, kludne stacia aj "myslitelia" stylu Danko a pod. Lebo …
