Each just with a shell one-liner using `jq`.
There is just an extra sync running now for our repo. We had added new known vulnerable certificates to our "badcert list" and were performing a full repo scan; 3 apps had to be removed. 2 of them haven't seen an update in years, for the 3rd one we informed the developers.

#catima 2.34.4 is out!
This reverts Catima to targetSdk 34 (Android 14) for now, to fix the UI regressions introduced in Catima 2.34.3.
It also includes the fixes in 2.34.3 and a new little feature to sort your cards by the "valid from" date, useful for things like train tickets.

@crlcan81 at #IzzyOnDroid we have scanners in place that check each app on each update for such things. Should something "suspicious" show up, we receive an "alert", cross-check why the app might need that, reach out to the developers if unclear.
Results: either the permission is clarified (and the explanation added as in the screenshot) – or it is removed (sometimes, dependencies "drag stuff in" without the devs having intended that; we're all humans, mistakes can happen to each of us).

As an app with elevated privileges (root) it's especially good we can now certify it was really built from the source it claims
Note the app had a transfer of ownership and uses a new signing key, so this update requires you to uninstall/reinstall the app.

As I've written before:
[...] the ecosystem is constantly moving: old toolchain and dependency bugs get fixed, but new ones keep popping up. [...] Reproducible Builds are not just an item on a checklist [...] It's an ongoing process involving not just upstream app developers, but also maintainers of repositories, clients, and rebuilders; those involved in outreach and writing documentation; developers and maintainers of tooling, toolchains, and dependencies. And often requires a lot of collaborative debugging :)
