The Book of Mormon (Audio Described, Glasgow King’s Theatre, May 31, 2025) — fireborn
This comment on the Lobsters discussion of the recent Ink & Switch article about malleable software: lobste.rs/c/mqixy2 expresses one of my misgivings about depending on generative AI as a tool in one's workflow, for coding or otherwise:
> if we all need heavy GPUs to run local LLMs, many of our old devices are rendered obsolete, and giving new life to old devices is another reason for malleable software.
Obviously depending on constant access to a remote LLM is also problematic.

Sabrina Carpenter's new album cover is causing a lot of outraged, prudish reactions. Worse, people are using feminism as their excuse.
But her campy sexpot act is good for women — and feminism is not helped by rejecting humor or lust.

🇬🇧I can't recommend the EU-funded DNS service #DNS4EU because access is logged. When you override warnings to access "harmful websites" they even log your IP address. techradar.com/vpn/vpn-privacy-…
There are government-free services that do not log: privacyguides.org/en/dns
Update: I understand now the IP address is kept for 24 hours to prevent the confirmation prompt from showing again.

lol, i too have this problem. somewhere down i believe that if i read the manual page in some different light, some understanding might dawn on me (NATed peer should matter?) but i have yet to make sense of it.
wgpka interval
Set the interval of persistent keepalive packets in seconds. The default, zero, disables these. They can be used to maintain connectivity to a peer otherwise blocked to unsolicited traffic by an intermediate firewall or NAT device.
