Been a minute since I saw "differently abled" or zip by but I just did, and I have a few words to say. People who are #disabled are not "differently abled". I get that some people feel better about themselves when they can believe that so they offset the sense of pity they feel when they think of a disabled person, but it's simply not how it works. What IS true, and this may be confrontational to some, is that the so-called "able-bodied" folk who should not be pitied because they aren't disabled, are often the cause of the fact that a disability actually leads to a reduced experience in a great many things in life, BECAUSE they only think of disabled folk as a separate subset of the community that is to be pitied and isolated, but not accommodated for until threatened with a lawsuit. So instead of coming up with dumb platitudes like differently-abled, maybe make sure these people are actually included so everyone's as equally abled as possible. Please and thank you.

For my disabled followers, what do you consider when thinking about inclusive swag? Swag in this case meaning t-shirts, coffee mugs, backpacks, stickers, etc. that you acquire through conferences, work, or other places. I struggle to name what I look for in swag for it to be inclusive as a blind person; I think the most I'd look for is cool tactile design on t-shirts and perhaps embossed designs on stickers. But even that's a stretch; I've never felt strongly enough to remotely consider this, and that's why I'm here! I also consider things like Braille to be a novelty, and don't feel excluded when it doesn't exist. In a nutshell--I don't really care. But I'm sure someone out there does. Yesterday at the #PlayStation concert, a young, blind man sat next to me.
We got talking and it turns out he is an accessibility consultant for companies, including video game developers and has worked with Sony on God of War and other products!
He goes by his handle: Sightless Kombat.
He is entirely #blind from birth, but loves video games so is passionate about accessibility in the sector.

Most #maga supporters want it as #trump and #doge convinced them schools were federally funded, and they were going to overhaul and fix it.
