protip: If you're going to rip off someone's Harry Potter #fanfic, and have a bad AI voice read it, maybe check to make sure it's not an explicit drary slashfic before uploading it to your Harry Potter Playtime Fun channel, and marking the video "for children".
Maybe while you're at it, consider picking a British voice? And proofreading the titles so they have the correct chapter numbers? And not skipping chapter seven completely? It must take extra work to do crime this badly!
Just a few tips for the scammers out there. I know crediting the original author and doing an actual human reading just isn't possible; you've gotta upload a couple hundred videos a week, after all!

Weird machine translated Chinese webnovels with Harry Potter inserted into them for some reason, also read by AI. Weird badly pirated versions of the original audiobooks. Weird people making there own audiobooks. Gameplay footage. Real people reading real fanfics. Incomprehensible videos about Bella from Twilight dating Harry Potter. All just mashed together in a delightful pile of complete nonsense.

The idea of Matrix as a chat service is nice. But the fact that it keeps going out of sync, and I keep losing messages from other people is just plain annoying. This is worse than IRC net split (at least there was a message when it happened).
@matrix My account is on matrix.org, and I'm using ElementX 25.12.0 on Android. The channel is on a different server, and there's a bunch of people bridging to different services (like Telegram). I bet I'm either losing the messages from the bridged people, or the ones from 3rd party servers.

This is a big deal and marks a change of sentiment. After years of tech scrambling to reinvent itself with user hostile #ai features, Mozilla is offering something different - turn it off.
They fear that Mozilla will lose its way, to the detriment of the community's demands.
Because other features that are highly sought after by the community are still waiting to be integrated, if at all.

I love it! I recently replaced the 4 TB drives in my father's NAS with my old 8 TB ones. Old means used already, but not too old and not with much load, plus Ironwolf Pro, so actually supposed to run multiple years, but most of them weren't quite a year old. I'll elaborate. I believe we're in an AI bubble. AI companies are pushing the overton window on AI discourse. They want the most extreme anti-AI sentiment to be "Sure, it's an overhyped technology right now but there will be reasonable applications down the road". I want to see pushback on this. It doesn't matter if I can disable some AI feature in the settings. The fact that Mozilla is jumping on this bandwagon is deeply disappointing to me.
I've finally switched to the @Vivaldi browser. I've been using Firefox for as long as I've been on the internet, but the focus on AI means it's no longer the browser for me. Wir haben #Studiolink mit #REAPER Getestet, wobei jede Person einmal Host und einmal Anrufender war. Da wir beide blind sind, können wir das #ultraschall Add-On nicht nutzen, sondern müssen das Routing usw. von Hand konfigurieren. Hat alles gut geklappt. Nur die Weboberfläche hat doch diverse Probleme, die ich in den nächsten Tagen reporten werde. CC @sreimers
Guten Morgen. Studiolink ist ein gutes Programm. Wenn du, Marco, da ein bisschen auf Barrierefreiheit achtest, fände ich das klasse. Ich würde es gern öfter einsetzen für Gespräche für den Ohrfunk.
Wir haben das VST-Plugin mit der REAPER Audiosoftware getestet. Die Probleme liegen im HTML der Webseite, die sich öffnet, sobald das Plugin als Effekt instanziiert wird. Der „Mix“-Button z.B. sagt nicht, ob er mono, stereo oder den dritten Zustand hat. Und wenn man als Gast die Quick-URL aufruft, gibt es da gefühlt auch ein paar Dinge, die checkboxen sein sollten, aber nur anklickbare Elemente sind. Aber Sebastian müsste sagen, wo er die Issues haben will.

Ich muss mal schauen, ob ich über die Feiertage die Energie aufbringen kann, mir das genauer anzuschauen, weil da tatsächlich mehrere Sachen problematisch waren und ich aber dafür auch eine zweite Person in einem Gespräch brauche, um bestimmte Teile der UI überhaupt unter den Screen Reader zu bekommen. Ja, Osarakompatibilität ist ganz oben mit dabei. Die Extension ist überhaupt der Grund, weshalb wir endlich uns an Accessibility ranwagen können. Ohne wäre es undenkbar zu machen.
@Mespotine Und falls ihr was in OSARA integrieren wollt/müsst, damit es mit Ultraschall 6 noch besser läuft, und das mit nichts anderem kollidiert, bin ich mir sicher, dass die Maintainer den Code auch akzeptieren werden. Ich freue mich darüber, dass OSARA diese Auswirkung auf euer Projekt hat. Ich habe von Ultraschall vor 10 Jahren auf einem Podlove-Treffen in Berlin das erste Mal gehört und war sehr traurig, dass es nicht zugänglich ist.
