Devs: if you're keeping a device on iOS 18/watchOS 10/etc. for testing, now is a good time to go turn off automatic updates!

If you've instead been using your only non-primary device as a 26 testing device, now's a good time to wipe it and restore the old OS onto it if you need it.

Starting next week, it'll get a LOT harder to install these outgoing OSes. Now's the time.

2. Hamas came to the table and met in Qatar to mediate and finalize the peace deal

3. With Trump's support and coordination, Israel bombed the Hamas negotiators who were there for Trump's peace deal

These are war crimes. If you still believe "retrieving the hostages" was ever a priority for Israel, then you're lying to yourself.

I once saw this blogpost (I believe linked by @niko) about how critical it is to design applications to work on low-bandwidth with good UI/UX for that scenario, or preferably offline-first

honestly, I don't remember that blogpost mentioning not just stuff like the update UX or other bandwidth-heavy tasks, but even less heavy tasks like just sending a message

I feel that's overlooked often, and I'm honestly glad that XMPP, Delta.Chat and good ol' IRC help me in these times where my connection fucking stinks

I set my personal blog up so it approves all followers automagically (Soapbox), because I'm fine with anyone following me what wants to, and I don't want to be bothered with new followers in my alerts. However I'd like to know who my new followers are because there's a chance I might want to reciprocate, so is there a way to check this, maybe friends, group: followers... Sort by date added maybe?

@Kāpitan I wish I could have it where anyone can follow, but I dont follow back automatically, currently I can only manually unfollow, and yes a busy time line is good but also so very bad especially on shared hosting, it causes me headaches if my feed is ripping all day long, and yes the contact list is a bit of a pain, but I still love my friendica, it really over all is a great platform.

Kdyz uz jsem se teda prsil tou success story, tak pridam k dobru i review od kolegy. Chtel jsem trochu kritiky, abych si nakalibroval, jak moc je AI kod v pohode ... v zasade nasel nekolik problemu:

- jedna kriticka chyba pri pojmenovani data stavu scrollview, nesedeli stringy
- 2x zbytecne definovani stejnych veci
- pouzivani deprecated React featur (forwardRef). Tohle jde za mnou, protoze poctive upgraduju pres ncu.
- clumsy animace. Pro animace proste nemam cit, radsi je vsecky zrusit!

Je vis sans voiture (non pour le climat, mais parce que je suis aveugle), et je vous dis, c'est vachement difficile. Le transport en commun est super mal développé malheureusement, malgré le fait qu'on pourrait le faire CO2-neutre ou presque (prenez l'exemple de Nice et ses bus électriques chargés par un panneau solaire). Mais non, on s'en fout généralement du transport en commun.

Deleting the Stocard importer from Catima because Stocard no longer exists feels so... anticlimatic.

I wish I could call it an "end of an era", but I can't. Everything is still the same. Big companies still mistreat us horribly and GDPR enforcement is still a joke. Literally nothing changed. It took *4 years* for my GDPR complaint on Stocard's partial exports to receive a decision which basically was... "Stocard can give incomplete data (because they have lawyers and you don't)".

haha. I'm so bad. Got on Amazon to grab a Series 10 watch just 3 days before this Apple event. I was going from series 9 because my battery hit 83%. Nope. Once it hits the low 80s or 80 and below, you really feel it. So after 2 years it was time. I now have 7 Apple Watches in my collection in total, spanning from series 0 to Series 10. Not regretful at all of this. To be able to experience it as a timeline is very neat for me. Will skip this Series 11 though, because to me, a little battery and a new sensor that's only a trend sensing thing is just not worth it right now. Will wait for series 12. Series 10 is enough of an upgrade from series 9 with the beefier sounding speaker that it still felt worth it to me, and being able to play music through it. Series 11 won't see deep discounts (I got my series 10 almost 30% off) for a long time.
So, my thoughts. Now you know. I'm an Apple watch snob and collector, and you can go fuck yourself if you feel that's a problem.
