Be My Eyes CEO Mike Buckley On AppleVis Acquisition: ‘There Are Shared Values There’ forbes.com/sites/stevenaquino/…

I'm so excited because mom made homemade goulash last night and gave me leftovers this morning. evidently it turned out really good so I'll be having that for lunch today. She even pureed the tomatoes down because neither of us really deals well with chunks of cooked tomato well.

Before I purchase a pair of AI glasses, I am interested to know what type of glasses Google Glass is going to be moving to. As I understand it, the current Google Glass Envision is using is no longer in production. What will Google be using for their glasses?

I'm particularly happy with the title of my talk: "CVEMITRECVSSNVDCNAOSS WTF"

... which I will present on September 23 at nsss.se/

I figure with that title I can mostly just sit back and let it speak for itself.

Actually CWE is kinda helpful as it provides a descriptive approach to the issues, while most of the others you mentioned are mostly enumerating existing entries. Sometimes even with such generic texts that entries become interchangeable.
in reply to BenBE

@benbe I believe the CWE idea is sound and fine, but I'm not sure it actually works or serves much purpose in the end. A little like time reports: there's a thinking somewhere the data will be useful for something but in the end it never is...
in reply to daniel:// stenberg://

I like CWE for its documentation as it serves as a nice educational resource when teaching colleges or discussing requirements. Less from the identify-this-vuln side of things.

@mfraz74 Hi, if you think you've discovered a bug in LibreOffice, our QA community would appreciate a quick bug report at bugs.documentfoundation.org – Please provide details about your setup (LibreOffice version, operating system, steps to reproduce, and screenshot if relevant). Thanks!

in reply to Doug Lawlor

@douglawlor Everything about linkedin sucks to me. It's a poor platform in many ways. Accessibility, usability, even trying to find a way to quickly post from the site is nasty.
in reply to Andre Louis

@FreakyFwoof I honestly can't stand using it. That was only one of the things. If i took the time I could go on for hours about it. It is just an absolutely horrible platform to use both on mobile and desktop.
in reply to Doug Lawlor

@douglawlor @FreakyFwoof I'm in agreement. I maintain an active presence on LinkedIn as it's a great tool for network but it's a mixed bag when it comes to accessibility.
in reply to Doug Lawlor

@douglawlor @FreakyFwoof But… Isn’t the accessibility God of the universe running accessibility at LinkedIn? Was that too snarky? Perhaps.
in reply to Brian Moore

@bmoore123 @jfayre @douglawlor @FreakyFwoof I'm glad I waited for someone else to apply the snark. It must be all the prep for GAAD that's preventing him from making these common-sense changes.
in reply to Pratik Patel

@ppatel @bmoore123 @jfayre @douglawlor @FreakyFwoof Las time I saw him was at a local conference. He was sitting on a chair in the middle of the room, and everyone would approach him one by one. My friend went up to him and asked if he could kiss the ring. Lol!
in reply to Jason Fayre

@jfayre @douglawlor @mcourcel @ppatel @bmoore123 I was at Worcester college with him, and even shared a room at some points as well. Glad to hear it's not him.
in reply to Martin from Toronto

@mcourcel @bmoore123 @jfayre @FreakyFwoof @douglawlor @ppatel Many years ago, I contacted LinkedIn's accessibility team once or twice with feedback specific to accessibility. I would then hear back from them right away with a very friendly and personalized response but then nothing would get fixed. What that tells me is that, at least at that time, LinkedIn had a very dedicated and passionate accessibility team but that there was a disconnect between their accessibility team communicating the feedback and the actual development teams applying that feedback. In other words, I don't necessarily blame their accessibility experts for dropping the ball. I suspect that the ball is being dropped once it changed hands.
in reply to David Goldfield

@mcourcel @bmoore123 @jfayre @FreakyFwoof @douglawlor Ah but they prided themselves on having accessibility integrated into their development process. Things have clearly changed.
in reply to Pratik Patel

@ppatel @mcourcel @bmoore123 @jfayre @FreakyFwoof @douglawlor If LinkedIn claimed that accessibility was baked into their development process I would strongly disagree with that claim and I'd be happy to demonstrate why I believe this is not the case. It's a shame as they're such a valuable resource, which is why I maintain an active presence on that platform, but I would never pay for their premium plan, partially because of their accessibility challenges. To be fair, I haven't communicated with them about this in some time and so we as users do need to do that to do our part in at least trying to affect positive change.

Hi everyone, we have been receiving support inquiries from users regarding a phishing email circulating impersonating Tuta Mail.

‼️This email is NOT from the official Tuta team.‼️

Should you receive this email, please report and delete it.

in reply to Tuta

it also looks like Microsoft is blocking your domains again I tried multiple times to contact a support Mail and never got anything back but using GMail worked fine. So far I can confirm for 2 totally different companies.
in reply to Tuta

how `[[-Email-]]` isn't setting off people's alarm bells... also that "without your permission."

(Why on earth would they format it that way? it makes it obvious something strange is going on)

Reminder that #xmpp is a great alternative to signal/whatsapp especially for 1-1 chats and voice calls.

If you want to self host, try out snikket. They have paid hosting available too.

For Android users, Conversations is a fantastic client.

Of course, most people making noise about it all still want the convenience of a free service.

Die "Edeka"-Anzeige gegen die AfD hat (auch hier auf Trötistan) wieder mal gezeigt:

Es kann nie genug bzw. das "richtige" Engagement gegen rechte Sackwürste geben.

Tut jemand was, wird genölt:
"Das könnte man aber noch besser machen!"

Das ist zwar irgendwie auch immer richtig, wir sollten aber bedenken:

Je mehr Menschen ein wenig gegen Rechts tun, desto weniger Macht haben die Nazis!

Needed to merge some documents and export to multiple Word files. Used Word and Excel first - cannot believe Word cannot do this without code or dodgy plugins.

Decided to try in the wonderful #Libreoffice and not only is the feature built in, the merge worked perfectly. Should have tried Libreoffice first . . .
