It's been six years now since #curl dropped support for HTTP/1 pipelining.

I have never regretted it.

#curl

So, the other day, Gumroad announced it was going “open source,” which got a lot of attention.

That same day, Wired wrote a story about Gumroad’s founder, and his association with #DOGE, that perhaps didn’t have the same impact.

Let’s fix that.

No, because this division between "criminals" and "law abiding citizens" implies it's okay to deport criminals to a concentration camp. And that's exactly what racists and fascists use to remove civil rights: first from those they deem "criminals," like students protesting are now labelled terrorists. Due process , whatever little there is in the USA, for all or it's due process for none.

From an upcoming blog post, in which I argue that cloud providers are actually more like proprietary software providers: "These days under the guise of ‘cloud as a commodity’ we are gluing ourselves to specific suppliers, without realizing that they are not in fact supplying commodity services." Thoughts? Comments?

It's been eight years to the day since Lance Ulanoff, the storied Tech and Social Media Expert and an award-winning tech journalist, decided that Mastodon won't survive because William Shatner couldn't find him on here.

Eight years on, Mastodon stubbornly survives:

"Before 1914, the earth had belonged to all. People went where they wished and stayed as long as they pleased. There were no permits, no visas, and it always gives me pleasure to astonish the young by telling them that before 1914, I travelled from Europe to India and America without a passport and without ever having seen one."

-Stefan Zweig

Borders as we know them are a recent concoction.

The passport system as we know it dates to the First World War. ICE was founded in 2003 as part of the so-called "War on Terror," a disaster for freedom in every way.

These institutions are neither timeless nor beneficial nor inevitable.

Pražský půlmaraton vyhrál Rodrigue Kwizera z Burundi v čase 58:54. Ve finiši předběhl favorizovaného Keňana Isaiu Kipkoeche Lasoie. Mezi ženami zvítězila Keňanka Lilian Kasai Rengeruková za 1:05:27. To je brutál, to člověk nedá ani na kole.

News: Hands Off Crowd Estimated At 2.3 Million By Alt National Parks

Edit: TOTAL NOW 5 MILLION! - SEE UPDATE BELOW

"Wow! Updated estimates now put turnout at 2.3 million — and we're still waiting on reports from coalition members in other areas, with some events yet to begin! If you're free, come out and join us... People often ask what a coalition of 200,000 can do. The answer's simple — with all our free time (since a lot of us got fired), we're out here causing a lot of good trouble."

While (most) corporate media outlets are ignoring or downplaying the #HandsOff rallies, indie and nonprofits are not! For example, the #Philadelphia #Inquirer covered #HandsOffPhilly and other Delaware Valley protests. Support your #localnews that is likewise covering these events. This Q&A on tariffs is somewhat belated but is an informative read and a good candidate for a social media sharing!
