Genial artículo en #JotDown: "No es una historia de héroes, tampoco de ídolos. La protagonizan, más bien, un atajo de personajes a medio camino entre la chaladura y la genialidad".

#Thunderbird family: Thank you for the wealth of feedback about our redesigned logo. We listened to it, appreciated it, and took some action.

Your loudest criticism was that our beloved bird looked a bit evil or sinister (LEFT, version 7).

So, in this subtly improved version (RIGHT, version 7.5), we've rotated the eye and tweaked the gradient under the beak to look less harsh.

We think this results in a calmer expression, making the bird look less predatory and more protective.

I think the new logo looks great! Still, I think there is something to improve. The pastel color palette of the new logo does not really harmonise with the bold one of Firefox. The logo also feels comparably flat, even though it uses additional shadow. Furthermore, the corners are way rounder and do not give the sharp feeling of the Firefox logo. To showcase the harmony and same heritage of Thunderbird and Firefox, the two logos should be similar regarding basic design principles.

@jcsteh @NVAccess Any progress regarding this PR? github.com/nvaccess/nvda/pull/… Honestly its removal has made me stick to Alpha 28193 - I don't want to let go of it! It was, or is, a game-changer IMO.

I fully agree with @bagder 's assessment here. CVE-2023-27536 is a highly niche vulnerability, and it definitely is not critical or high severity.

This obviously flawed reclassification is a major problem as it leads to all unnecessary alerts and results in a ton of extra work when organizations need to react to the supposedly "critical" vulnerabilities in their systems (for example org IAVA policies will trigger a lot of mandatory actions to remedy such vulnerabilities).

There of course is a need to alert different parties about vulnerabilities. However, to be of most use, the vulnerability classification needs to be correct. Unfortunately, it is impossible to come up a with a single number that distills the essence of a vulnerability and its impact. CVSS is deeply flawed in numerous ways, and many parties have moved away from using it precisely due to the problems the system has.

There is no simple solution for this problem. However, reclassifying existing vulnerabilities wildly wrong is making things even worse.

Talking as someone who submitted a CVE recently and who works with vulnerability management daily, CVSS is too simplistic, outdated and kind of bad.
If you see good pentest reports, they'll probably use another way of classifying the vulnerabilities severity. Difficulty of exploitability should definitely be accounted for

stormdragon2976 pushed changes to the master branch of the I38 project Sound added for custom modes. Default mode sound should only play when switching back to the default mode now. This means we now have ratpoison mode sound, bypassmode sound, default sound for when no mode is being used other than default bindings, and custom, for when you add your on modes in the customizations file.
